san francisco homicide and arson investigators are working on the same case following a car fire this morning. >> a body of a woman was fined inside the car. a witness took this picture in the lower haight area. amy? >> the car was in the middle of the street. it's a little side street right off of webster, between haight and paige, when residents heard about this possible murder their reaction was, not again. >> san francisco police say a woman was found dead inside this car. they aren't sure how she died but homicide investigators are involved. this picture of the burning car

was taken at 3:30 this morning by a man who lives across the street. >> the flames were so large, we didn't want to get any closer. a few minutes after the gas tank exploded. >> news of the fire has residents wondering if it's safe to live in the lower haight. >> that is the secretary murder in one week, in one week. what is going on? >> a man was beating another man on friday with a shovel on paige street. the man who was being beaten stabbed and killed his attacker. they are wondering if this morning's violence is related to what happened on friday. >> i don't know if there is a connection, you never know what for sure, we need people to take this seriously. >> they organized two neighborhood meetings where residents talked about not being safe on webster and paige street. >> i have a nine-year-old child

and i walk him to school down this block. to me it's unacceptable. >> she would like to see more beat cops walking the streets and she hopes more residents will get involved. >> the people live here working together to keep their are eyes on the street and work with each other and work with the police. >> residents are also nervous because there was violent robbery at 1400 haight street? december, six young men walked into a store and robbed it at gunpoint. they say its disturbing trend and nervous about what is happening here. as far as the woman who was found here this morning police have not been a able to identify her. the search for a kidnapped four-year-old boy in stanislaus county will resume tomorrow. jose rodriguez snatched juliani cardenas from the grandmother on

friday. divers searched the canal near patterson. they pulled out five cars but none of them matched cart in the kidnapping. a man reported seen the vehicle drove into the canal with two people inside. officials called off the search on saturday when divers could have time to rov from working in the astronauts. >> crews are searching for a missing fisherman in the delta. they believe harry lee fell overboard while fishing alone near oakley. they found the man's boat adrift with the keys still in the ignition. lee is thought to have been wearing a manual life jacket. jury selection is now underway in the 2007 murder of a prominent oakland journalist.

usef bey face charges of murdering chauncey bailey. he had been investigating criminal activity. another man 22-year-old has confessed to killing bailey. potential jurors filled out questionnaires today. the trial is set to begin in late march. >> in moscow a terror attack has killed 35 people at russia's busiest airport. investigators say a suicide bomber most likely carried out the attack, 168 people were wounded. police have stepped up patrols all around russia. president obama has condemned the attack. this is the not the fires time there was an attack on this airport. two female suicide bombers boarded a plane in 2004 and blew themselves up in midair killing

7:30. >> the intern that cared for gabrielle giffords will sit with first lady michelle obama during the state of the union. president obama called daniel hernandez at a hero at a memorial service for helping control giffords' bleeding after she was shot. she was one of 19 people shot outside a grocery store more than a week ago. six people were killed including a nine-year-old girl and a program judge. >> meantime, giffords is being treated in the intensive care unit at a houston hospital. doctors have inserted a temporary tube to drain fluid from her brain, fluid build-up is a common problem with head injuries. >> and a suspected gunman jared loughner will be back in court this afternoon in phoenix. he is charged with the attempted assassination with giffords along with other counts of attempted murder. federal prosecutors want all future hearings for loughner to be held in tucson.

on the right side of screen, there is tule fog hanging out in the central valley. mid to upper 50s, we're seeing 60s in oakland, los gatos and half moon bay. we still have about three more hours of warming to go. we are in the mid to upper 50s. low to mid-50s in watsonville and monterey. high clouds and hazy sunshine and warm temperatures today. we will set records for the sixth day in a row. it's still pretty chilly at night and look for patchy fog in the north bay, better chance of seeing tule fog in the east bay, especially the farther east you head. extend, what i mean, not the accu-weather seven-day forecast, it's going out 16 days. how far median range models and i do not see a solid chance of rain. five degrees above in livermore. napa, san francisco, san jose,
