antioch city employees are furious what is going on between the workers and city union. >> terry mcsweeney joins us from antioch. >> reporter: president of the union that represents the public works department doesn't like the way the city council is negotiating with the different unions. it sees the police department getting a good deal and members of the police department not so much. center of the controversy, these are the public works union employees, people that take care

of streets and parks. they are making concessions but police are not kicking in their fair share. police are only being asked to contribute 3% toward their pension and raises deferred until then. the public works union has accepted to 10% pay cut and reduced hours and agreed to much more. >> wave deferred a 3% pay raise, city is asking us to do more, to extend our contract with three years, with no pay raise until 2013 and pay an additional 7-8% toward retirement. at the same time they haven't got the same type of things from the police association. >> city manager sent us a an e-mail, after tuesday night, they, meaning local one, will be one of seven labor unions where

we don't have an agreement until the end year. it expires 9-30 of this year. contract negotiations legally they are discussions they are going on right now. we're going to be finding out tomorrow night if the union deal or city deal with the police union goes through. if it does, local one says they expect the same kind of agreement. live in antioch, terry mcsweeney "abc 7 news." it appears there is finally a deal in place that will end the bitter 18-month labor dispute between hilton hotel. they scheduled a news conference where they are expected to announce a tentative agreement on a new contract. no details have been released. union members have been working without a contract since august of 2009.

major issue is wages as well as healthcare costs. >> more painful cuts can be coming to the school district in the east bay. the board shut down to shut down a middle school and holbrook elementary at the end of the school year. they will vote on whether to lay off up to 180 full time employees including 33 music teachers and 20 librarians. they would eliminate music and library programs throughout the district. >> we have learned that the san francisco defender's camera which they say should policeman misconduct. making drug busts, they are accused of making illegal searches and falsifying police reports. six officers have been reassigned. the f.b.i. alone with the district attorney and the san francisco police department are

making separate investigations into the drug raids. vic lee is following the story and we'll have more later tonight. san jose soldier has died in afghanistan. mark wells was killed on saturday in helman province. he was injured when insurgents attacked his unit. >> president obama is warning libya they are still considering a military response. he says the violence being perpetrated by muammar khadafy and his supporters is unacceptable. his comments came during an oval office meeting with a syrian prime minister. >> i want to send a clear message to those that are around colonel khadafy. it is their choice to make how they are going to move forward and they will be held accountable for whatever
