are looking at 865 cases in san jose alone and another 133 cases in palo alto, all because of a breathalyzer advertised, it was not improved. take a look at the breathalyzer we're talking about. it was introduced this past november. to palo alto pd in april last year. it can give false readings because of a condensation problem with the device. they don't anticipate a large number of cases to be dismissed. this is used by officers to test for alcohol. they test coordination having the driver walk a straight line, then if arrested, they are required to give a blood or ur intest and give another breath test. but still, cases could be overturned. >> imagine a case was able to

analyzer to recoup some of that money. in pittsburg a parolee is in custody after a traffic stop. >> he fled police around sog last night. he had a been hiding in an attic. he suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. they say jones fired seven rounds at the officer who was behind the wheel of his patrol car. the officer had minor cuts and broken glass. he was oh parole. >> two women who the prosecutor called marijuana grannies, accused of growing hundreds of pot plants in their home. they were arrested last week after neighbors reported a burglary at their house. they found 800 marijuana plants, $2,000 and.

they are being held on $100,000 bail. yousef bey seen here in the white is the man accused of ordering 2007 killing of the oakland journalist. they rested their case after six weeks of testimony. bey's attorney says prosecutors did not meet the burden of proof to meet conviction. they say he ordered bailey's murder to prevent him from writing articles critical about the your black muslim bakery. a passenger ship entered a between baja and san diego. missing passenger is a 65-year-old woman, her name hasn't been released. they say she didn't show up for a customs check when it docked in san diego on tuesday afternoon.
