we begin with developing news, san jose state university officials revealed the motive behind the triple shooting on tuesday. >> they also revealed the identities, david louie was the news conference. >> they are saying it was a case of domestic violence. shooting happened on tuesday night about 8:30 in the evening on a parking garage on the fifth floor level. they could not release the names of individuals until they could notify next of incidents but now we can give you the names. two students center san jose state.

they both lived in san jose. shooter is 54-year-old also from san jose. there was a collective gasp from students as they joined reporters to learn identity of the victims. both were graduating seniors, accounting majors in a san jose business school. the shooter was the husband of 25-year-old of a woman that was was one of victims. >> we may never know a lot and we don't know a lot about the series of events that led up to what happened in our garage on tuesday night. but we do know we're dealing with a little bit of domestic violence here. we're going to continue to do all we can around that to support staff and students. it's been a high priority for

students and we'll continue to make that a high priority. >> the two victims why inside the car when they were shot. the car was registered to a married couple. they believe it's a case of domestic violence but there was no prior history of complaints by the woman by the victim in this case. let's put the murder-suicide in perspective. these are the first homicides on the san jose campus since 1994 but they are the city of san jose's 19th and 20th homicides of year. we'll have more at 5:00 and 6:00. san rafael police have arrested three teenage boys in connection with a triple stab that go left one young man dead. the body was found by a resident on wood street last night. two more people showed up with stab wounds at a nearby hospital. a group of young men were seen chasing around the time of the attack and pickup and white

pontiac were leaving the scene. both vehicles were recovered overnight at the same time the police made the arrests. >> the task force is denying new accusations that he was involved in prostitution. he and former associate are charged with selling drugs. terry mcsweeney is live at the business park where the alleged brothel was located. >> reporter: new accusation comes from chris but the her. he says he and norman wielsch opened a brothel out in pleasant hill and the storefront said my divine skin. take a look at the property we're talking about where the brother's el allegedly went on. 670 gregory lane, an empty storefront now. chris butler is claiming that he and former narcotics enforcement team or commander norman wielsch ran it between 2009 and 2010. they are both accused of selling

drugs, possibly taken from scene evidence rooms. they say the brothel allegations are intended to get a lesser sentence if convicted. >> butler admits apparently he signed the lease, he ran the furniture. he collected the money but it wasn't me and i gave all that money to other people. i didn't keep a very small part of it. >> we contacted pleasant hill police a to see what the allegations might have turned up, if they had any confirmation of a brothel going on. we contacted the state department of justice with mr. cardoza and we have not heard back and we are told that norman wielsch is out right now on $450,000 bail. a congressional committee grilled big oil companies executives about how gas prices and massive profits and leaders

the family of a man who received a life sentence for killing his 14-year-old stepsister has forgiven him and now welcoming him home. he spent 24 years for the crime

and released from san quentin today. it was an emotional reunion the family never thought it would happen. amy? >> reporter: never thought it would happen. consider of all the prisoners serving life sentences that bent before the parole board, only 5% were granted parole so it's pretty rare but he is a changed man. he is a forgiven man and first stop was here at san francisco's grace cathedral. >> first day of freedom in 24 years. he was 18 years old when he was given a life sentence. he truly never thought this day would come. >> there was time i have to spend the rest of my life in prison i could understand. >> he shot and killed his sister

when he caught them burglarizing the stepfather. >> they will forgive him and the pain that it has caused the family. rest of us can support him. >> he walked out in prison with a bible and family photo album and an appointment book which he is looking forward. but even as he and his family focus on his new life, the life of his stepsister is always on his mind. >> she was a beautiful girl. she didn't have a chance to grow the person that she could have been because of me. i have to live the rest of my life being the best i can. >> officials say he was a model prisoner who held a job and participated in programs supporting at risk youth. he has big plans for his life on the outside but the first step was grace cathedral to say a

after nine holes, a limping tiger woods has withdrawn. he said he felt something give away in his knee. it's the second straight year that woods has withdrawn from the players championship. last year he withdrew after claiming of neck problems. he was surprised he had to withdraw because his knee was feeling fine. >> so mike is bringing us one spring day. >> two, maybe. >> shocked and amazed. >> we have rain this time of year but the timing is bad if you like to be outside on the weekend. as we take a look down from mount tam, lingering fog, most of this has lifted and will continue to lift.

oakland four less, redwood city 11 degrees cooler than average. take a look at temperatures. warmest weather, low to mid-70s. dublin trailing at 69. low to mid-50s along the east bay shores. 65 in union city. mid-60s to low 70s south bay. 71 in los gatos. low to mid 50s on the peninsula to mid to upper 50s and sunshine along the coast. low 60s downtown san francisco and sausalito. mid to upper 50s along your beaches and sunshine, upper 60s to 70s in the valleys. low to mid-70s inland. giants forecast, 12:45 first pitch, 56 warming up to 60 degrees. temperatures in the mid-70s throughout the central valley to about 64 degrees in tahoe. 93 in palm springs for the warm spot. bring it back home tonight, low 40s up in the north bay valleys.

mid to upper 40s for the rest of us. under a fairly clear sky. jump ahead, saturday morning everything is fine, saturday evening, look at the rain roll in. most of sunday will be quiet with scattered showers, monday will be rather quiet with the heaviest of the rain moving in tuesday and wednesday. look at those temperatures. mid to upper 50s along the coast. low to mid-60s around the bay and inland. temperatures are 10-15 degrees cooler than they should be. this story is causing a lot of controversy. imagine giving botox injections to an 8-year-old girl. that is what one san francisco mother is doing to give her an edge in the beauty pageant circuit but she insists she isn't the only one. >> they were telling me about the lines on her face and moms were giving botox and i'm not the only one that does it.
