the snow falling up in the sierra. another wave is developing off the coast. that is going to move in the evening hours and bring us another push of wet weather. we'll talk about wet weather over the weekend. today's rain is increasing concern for residents in one san pablo neighborhood whose homes are being threatened by a sliding hillside. the neighborhood has moved five feet. they want to see if these storms cause any further damage. the city manager says the city is considering revoking the emergency declaration because no public property is being threatened so it doesn't make sense for the city to protect it. >> they are questioning a police officer caught in a contra costa county investigation. federal agents arrested lewis

that is why we have the winter storm warning until 5:00 tomorrow morning. temperatures are running in the low to mid 50s. we do have upper 50s 50s around mountain view and san jose. waves of showers today and tonight. it's going to be cooler than average in the next afternoon and get a break thursday and friday but then it's going to be cooler for the weekend. probably not this cold and chance of showers out there but not nearly as wet as it has been the next couple of days. look at this. san francisco and oakland, single digits, 6 to 7 degrees cooler but double-digits for santa rosa and napa. near record cold-high temperatures with upper 50s to low 60s, maybe squeak out at mid 50 in the east bay valleys. around the monterey bay, upper 50s to low 60s. as you head inland, throw mid-60s. got the game in last night and win for the a's over the angels.

us will be cooler this weekend. we have some sad news about one of four baby falcons born at the top of san jose city hall. the baby lita has died. this is an earlier video after the birds were born. the mother returned to the nest and had lunch for it but she plunged below. this is the first time a baby falcon has died there. it's happened when the birds couldn't land safely. falcons typically lay four eggs every year. >> a little sailing haste made its way. two yachts, the america and u.s.a. '76 sailed under the golden gate bridge this morning to promote the america's cup yacht race in san francisco. america is a replica of 139 foot
