approached by two men. >> one of them had a handgun that demanded those two girls' property which they complied with. and the female teenagers called police. >> a hugs and wife walks by at almost the exact same time. they had come in bart. the man and woman their robber and purse. one of robbers shot the man anyway. >> the robbery in and of itself with a handgun is cowardly act. these people have complied out of on fear for their lives you then shoot them. >> they don't know why the men chose this area to commit the crime, possibly because there is a steady flow of pedestrians. they don't think the victims knew their attackers. >> i don't think there is anything to indicate that our victim of a criminal mind.

sexuality relations with students. she is a private teacher and she appeared in court this morning. karina rusk is live at the san jose courthouse. you talked to her attorney. >> yes, i did and she is going to return to court here in san jose on july 8 to enter a plea. she is arrested two weeks ago and now on out of custody. she appeared with her attorney to hear the charges against her. she is accused of two counts of lewd acts with a child. the d.a.'s office says the victim is a 14-year-old boy who attended school in san jose where she is a teacher. she says that she was involved with the private school for about five years. she lived in los gatos. she did not want to talk to the media but her attorney made

oakland based pandora helped ring the opening bell at new york stock exchange. shares soared more than 50% in the market debut. right now a share is selling about $23 up from the offering price of $16. it's a free service that let's people stream music over the web and allows them to create virtually their own stations on sound or artists. they have 94 million registered users and makes most of its money from advertising.

doctors in europe are helping next year to conduct the first uterus transplant with a woman that was born without a uterus to become pregnant. more than 2,000 pairs have been tested by a swedish team. >> she doesn't have any. she needs one. >> we are looking at the mothers that are done but wants to donate. >> they say techniques are much better and if all goes well. ten women will undergo the transplant procedure next spring. >> los angeles school district is now the nation's largest school system to stop serving

early next week. this afternoon ed lee will sign what he describes as landmark legislation that will transform treasure island from a former navy base into a project. 8,000 homes for shops and school and new ferry terminal. they approved the redevelopment plan despite some concerns from environmentalists. critics worry about traffic and earthquake safety. developers hope to break ground as early as next year. >> the military leadership program known as junior rotc has received a reprieve. students at seven high schools to continue earning credits for their participation. the officers training program is controversial among those that see it as military presence on campus.
