actually views the church christians as the enemy, why do they see the church as their enemy? >> well, i think they actually believe because of their own theology, that the spla is an extension of the church. we interviewed many, many different pastors that were tortured by the regime. they told us, they tried to get us to give them all the might bes of the congregation and when we refused they tortured us to give over the names, we said no, we are pastors and these are our flock. we are not going to betray our flock. i heard similar stories of

been difficult to share the gospel with people in japan. people avoid religions that makes specific claims like christianity. most japanese worship millions of gods. japanese non christians are learning to think there is only 1 true god. >> movie sister act made it popular in japan. 11 years ago, they saw a fad to teach the japanese about jesus christ. they began holding worship in centers. opening doors for developing relationships between the non christian choir members and members of the church. >> we see lives transformed within the 2-hour session. they are not learning how to

sing black gospel music. they are experiencing church because there is fellowship, worship, there is sharing of the word. >> the gospel ministry broke down barriers between christians and non christians. it opened the church and the target of the outreach are the choir members themselves. >> it maybe a slow process, the members testified the black gospel workshops are making them better persons and some convert to christianity. >> i used to have low self-esteem. i studied philosophy and did my rituals but nothing worked. within 1 year in the choir, i learned about jesus when i studied the lyrics of the songs. now i am a christian. i am more patient with children and more confident about myself. >> i am not a christian.
