san francisco police are investigating the violence that injured several people at 49ers raids game this saturday inside the park and outside the parking lot. i'm kristen sze. >> and i'm cheryl jennings. two men are recovering in the hospital and now police want witnesses to come forward. >> live from san francisco. >> reporter: good news this

morning the conditions have approved for the three men that were rushed here at san francisco general hospital. they were injured during that 49ers-raiders game. we have talked to the father of the most seriously injured victim this morning. he says his son was stepping out of his truck to help a friend that was getting beaten up and that is he was shot. his son is recovering to reconstruct his intestine. hospital spokesman says his condition has improved to fair, he was initially brought here as critical. one of the other men were shot in the face. that is described as a superficial wound a san rafael resident was beaten unconscious and he is listed in fair condition this morning. police are still looking for suspects in all three attacks. the mayor says they are trying to track down those that are

responsible for the violence. >> i'm going to be working with the 49ers to look at the tapes again to make sure that we can identify season ticket holders that may have gave their seats to people acted unlawfully, we should hold them accountable. >> police have made some arrests related to some of the other fights that were going on at candlestick park but they have not made any arrests related to these three incidents. police have said they are looking for a person of interest in one of shootings but not specified which shooting that person is possibly connected to. now, again as i mentioned we have talked with the father of one of these victims and we should have more information on that coming up on at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00. reporting live at san francisco

general hospital, "abc 7 news." it was less than six months ago when bryan stow was severely beaten in los angeles on opening day. he suffered major brain injuries. he is currently being treated at san francisco general and doctors gave him a brand-new update. he has been making significant improvement and he has been interacting with family and friends. two men have now been charged in that case. >> san mateo county deputies have arrested a registered sex offender for lewd acts with a child. they arrested him on beech street in redwood city. investigators say the victim is girl and that the suspect knew her. sheriff's office is investigating and asking the public if they have any more information about the suspect. >> a judge decided this morning that former psychologist is

incompetent to stand trial to face sexual molestation charges. this is value of william ayers from a previous court appearance. he is charged with nine counts of committing nine counts on seven different boys during 1991 and 1996. a trial ended in a hung jury. bart has heavier presence on the platforms. a group has promised to strike on bart until demands are met. nick smith is live with the latest. >> good morning. i just spoke with bart officials that public safety is number one priority. they also say if there is a demonstration and if they need to, they will shut down the civic center station but bart services will continue to run on schedule as planned.

total of four bart stations in san francisco. the choice to demonstrate is wearing thin on the patience of many of bart's passengers. >> i work really hard and i get home to my kids and all the people that i see protesting aren't the ones that are working. >> if bart plans to shut down any of the downtown stations they will notify everyone by their website at bart.gov and they are asking passengers to sign up for text alerts, and either make 16th street or 24th street but service will run on schedule. they are holding a meeting at 3:00 p.m. for citizens review board and on wednesday they will hold a board meeting to discuss the cellphone shut-off. anyone planning that protesting is allowed on fair gates but once you pass the fare gates it's illegal to protest.

president obama is expected to make a statement about the developing situation in libya. he is getting updates and we will bring it to you live. in the meantime, celebrations are underway in tripoli as libyans sense the end of moammar khadafy's 42-year reign. revellers are cheering and waving flags as they drive through the streets of the capitol today. two of his sons were captured late yesterday. u.n. sk general it is time for him to step down. >> it is crucial now for the country to end with no more loss of life. >> fighting continues in tripoli with government forces putting human resistance. also nato is promising to maintain an air assault campaign until all the pro-khadafy forces

return or surrender. >> oakland police have been complaining about their new police radios. ten million dollar radio system was touted as a solution to problems but they say the new radios are showing some of the same problems, including sound problems and dead zones. the head of the police union says the system is unreliable but a department spokesman says the radios have been working fine. a two-year-old oakland boy is expected to recover from a shooting in a drive-by shooting. police say the boy was walking with his parents on international boulevard when shots were fired. no suspects are in custody. the shooting happened just four blocks where carlos nava was killed in a drive-by shooting. police have arrested two men in the nava case.

officers blame a recent string of shootings of too many guns in the hands of criminals. >> four sonoma wineries are announcing state sanctions have getting caught serving to alcohol to minors. on all four were busted in part of a sting operation. teens were sent to ten different tastings rooms. valley of the moon winery and b.r. cope winery and they were fined to serving to underage drinkers. a historic shift of the university of california system. for the first time the total amount that sound pay in tuition will surpass what this get from state of california. they put the blame on the ongoing budget deficit. the dramatic shift is part of a national trend, changing the

sea lion from a gunshot wound. this is king neptune. the sea lion was found wednesday on santa cruz wharf. he had been shot in the back. you can see the bullet in had highlighted area in this x-ray. they say he was wounded by some sort of high caliber weapon. he is currently on antibiotics and they are cautiously optimistic and hope he will feel better to begin eating again. this is the second sea lion found shot at santa cruz wharf. >> marin city is turning to cameras to help fight crime. they have installed a high-tech security system at a cost of $65,000. they are posted in parking lots and above common ways in the golden gate village housing complex. there has been a significant increase in criminal activity. city officials there is no one monitoring the videos but now that police can review the videos they are it will hope

academy award winning actress kate winslet escaped a fire at a home of richard branson. his home was completely destroyed. branson was staying at another property. tropical storm hit the virgin islands with heavy rain and high wind. it strengthened into hurricane irene early this morning. officials say if it stays on projected path, it could reach florida by late thursday or early friday as a category one or two storm, that means winds up to 110 miles an hour. first of the season. >> first in a long time that if it hits. it's been a while since we had a direct hit. we'll keep an eye on it. it's this time of year.

we get this. sunshine down in san jose. rather quiet and we do have clouds as we look from another vantage point. vollmer peak showing some of the clouds that are lingering around the bay this morning. you can see they are starting to erase and mount diablo on the left side of your screen. you can see what we talked about north bay and south bay, we'll be seeing sunshine by noon. visible satellite clouds lingering around the bay and the coast. they may never leave the coast and probably be out of the bay around 2:00. upper 50s in san francisco and oakland. a lot of low to mid-60s, san jose, fairfield, antioch, upper 60s to low 70s along with los gatos. clouds are stubborn around the monterey bay. gilroy ten degrees warmer at 71. away from the coast, sunny and

warmer today, mainly cloudy tonight with patchy drizzle around the coast. brighter everywhere even the coast tomorrow. that will lead to a warming trend that will mainly hit the inland areas the hardest. compared to yesterday, 4 degrees warmer in san francisco. oakland, 5. fremont, 57, santa rosa, 11 degrees warmer than yesterday. we need a warming trend. before the sun sets, dublin, 82. brentwood 88 degrees. we'll have 67 in richmond to 70s for the rest of the east bayshore, fremont 78 degrees. south bay, 70 tows a's to low 80s. 80 in los altos. further cooling up in millbrae, 68 degrees and low to mid-60s with clouds along the coast.
