company that received $500 million in loans a company touted by president obama. suddenly announced they were bankrupt and without notice laid off 1100 workers. today the f.b.i. agents moving in surprising workers when they came to work. >> what is going on in there? >> we don't know. there are people out there. >> f.b.i. is out there? >> yes. >> did they say what they are looking for? >> no. >> even the public relations person was surprised. >> they were here when i came to work this morning. >> what are they looking for? >> you would have to ask them. >> they reported the justice department was concerned that potential buyer may move the equipment out of the country but under the loan the assets have to be operated in the united states. f.b.i. didn't shed any light on that. >> unfortunately i can't speak further on any of the details.

>> reporter: f.b.i. says they are not telling us what they are looking for but they will know when they had the. they will be carrying it out in boxes or crates. we'll have pictures of that for you and expecting to have those boxes carried out sometime this afternoon. mark math sues coming out and have news for you 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00. terry mcsweeney, "abc 7 news." the a former friend now accused of killing michelle le makes her first court appearance. le's body has not been found but police say that evidence led them to investigate the case as a homicide. the suspect is gizelle esteban. she is being held in jail on murder charges. they say they have dna evidence and surveillance video showing her in the garage before and after le's vanished. court records show that she has a history of violence.

president obama unveils his job creation proposal this afternoon. not all the details of the 25 minute speech have been made available but the 300 to $400 billion plan is expected to include proposals to help businesses, hire workers, cut taxes, rebuild infrastructure and cutting the deficit. white house says the speech is critical to boosting the economy. republicans are skeptical, at least two senators are skipping the speech and gop isn't even planning a rebuttal afterwards. that is something boern joked. >> this is not a state of the union address. american people shouldn't be forced to watch some politician they don't want to listen to and most of them want to watch the football game. >> we'll carry the speech live today at 4:00. hundreds of workers at hyatt

hotels started a w long strike today. >> members of the united here walked the picket lines. the workers include room cleaners, dishwashers and clerks that have worked without a contract since 2009. strike isn't only about their status but also about hiring non-union employees to organize. >> we want the right to help other hyatt workers organize to get a contract. >> they have put on the table issues of growth for their union that have no affect on the folks here except to call them out for seven days and take away from these hard working employees wages. >> west contra costa county parents and students have won a fight to keep two schools open. last night they voted to use

funds to pay off an $8 million loan. decision to use the fund the district won't need to generate other revenue by closing lake elementary and shannon elementary in pinole. >> bart residents are saying here we go again. another fight to get home because of the protest planned by several different groups. demonstrators insist they don't want to inconvenience barred roo riders. amy hollyfield has talking to the riders, did they appreciate this proposal? >> not really. they think they figured a way to get commuters a flee ride tonight but most of the passengers we spoke with said thanks but no thanks. >> bart officials have always said, they support peaceful protests as long as they are outside the fare gate. today protestors are going to test that. >> we are doing exactly what they asked.

francisco and santa rosa, san jose, 8. hayward, 10-12 degrees cooler than yesterday. it's still hot in the east bay valleys, low on to mid 90s. closer to average along the shores, 80 in fremont. south bay, low to mid-80s, campbell and los gatos, upper 80s to near 90 degrees. cooler than average on the peninsula with mid to upper 70s to near 80 in palo alto. low to mid-60s along the coast with upper 60s in downtown south san francisco to near 70 in sausalito. 80 in san rafael and mid to upper 80s in the north bay valleys. will there is more cloud cover around the beaches. 71 in monterey, mid-70s in santa cruz and salinas. around the state, most of the storms have moved into nevada. heat is big story in central valley.
