just after midnight, a shooting happened in residential area in san jose. an officers shot at two men. one man was hit and taken to the local hospital. police arrested the second suspect and are questioning him. >> i'm not sure how they came about this car, but they did run the license plate and knew the vehicle was stolen. two vehicles were in the vehicle. something transpired that transpired for them to discharge one of weapons. investigators are still trying to determine whether a chp officer or a san jose police officer shot the suspect. an officer from each agency fired a weapon during the confrontation. >> dozens of nonprofits are checking their books to see if they were victims of financial fraud by a strert political

a pharmaceutical company is recalling several brands of birth control pills because of

a message that bottle washed up on a beach in hawaii. petty officer spotted the glass bottle during a cleanup project on the island. he found a letter from a sixth grader dated march 26, 2006 and flowers. the note said she wanted to it be a graduation memory. they are trying to locate the girl they found the message. bottle traveled some 4,000 miles over five years. apparently it reached the principal of the girl and they are all very excited about this. >> who knows, maybe the petty officer. >> and let's see how the weather
