good phorpbgd, i'm cheryl jennings. >> and i'm kristen sze . eric thomas is live at pam bowa. how serious are those injuries? >> two people have life threatening injuries. one suffered injuries to his arm. apparently defensive injuries. we are in the 600 block. police say the suspect had a knife in each hand when he advanced on the officers, that's why they had to shoot. the 911 call came in around 7:30 this morning from a neighbor that one of the victims had been stabbed and possibly their son had done it. police found an elderly man at the bottom of the stairs with knife wounds to his arm. further in they found an elderly woman with life-threatening stab wounds to the chest.

while trying to get her medical help police say the suspect came at them with knives. first they tried to subdue him with a bean bag round. >> it was ineffective. the other officer fired stopping the attack on the officers as well as the other victims. >> i walked by and say oh my god that's where i used to live. i know some of the families next door. i wanted to make sure they were okay. >> don't know the names of the victims yet. their relationship to each other has not been verify. police believe they are related, but not sure how. police also say they phone a third person hiding in the home, a woman in her 30s. she was not injured. they have a witness who can tell them more. we don't know what the motive is. police are still investigating and gathering dna he have. we'll tell you more about that,

as that evidence and that information becomes clear, -- once again two elderly people with stab wounds, one with life-threatening injuries. suspect was shot and also has life-threatening injuries. eric thomas, abc7 news. in what is believed to be a bay area first oakland police officer's wearable video has captured footage from an incident in which he shot and killed an armed suspect. september 25th, the officer opened fire in the 9900 block of cherry street after he says the suspect threatened him with a gun. two witnesses say it appears the man was shot while his hands were in the air. the officer has not been allowed to see the video. no word if it will be made public. families of three kill at a party are dealing with overwhelming grief. they are wondering what led gunmen opening fire outside the party one victim was just

16. amy hollyfield is in san leandro. grief counselors are there? >> reporter: they are helping everyone get through this. they had a moment of silence this morning. they've set up a memorial where people can gather and share their thoughts. they've brought in additional grief conslers. she is remembered as a cheerful and thoughtful girl. police home people will come for. san leandro police are hoping the initial shock of the triple murder has subsided a bit and wits misses can better assess what happened and come forward. -- >> there's a lot of flight and people hiding. in many cases it is self-preservation. those are the people we are trying to appeal to that we have not heard from that may have seen something. >> reporter: police have a better picture of what happen. they believe the promoted tattoo party was over when two men opened fire, killing three and injuring three others.

>> about a 50 minute period of time that the doors were closed and locked to the time the shooting occurred. of the 150, 200, some folks left there were many still in the parking lot. >> reporter: investigators say party promoters are cooperating. they don't want to release their names yet. they say no alcohol was served. they are hoping for any details that can lead to the killers who they don't know much about. >> right now we have at least two shooters wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. again, one of the things we are trying to confirm is the suspects were in the party, or out spied in the parking lot. -- or outside in the parking lot. >> reporter: total of three people kill, three injured. two of those three are still in the hospital. police have spoken with 15 to 20 witnesses that they are --

onshore. all of this is going to move, -- from northwest to southeast while the individual storms move southwest to northeast. sought buy will have to wait for the evening commute to get your rain. stronger storm wednesday could cause problems. a 24-year-old american woman amanda knox carefully pleaded for her freedom in an italian courtroom today. she and a fellow american were convicted of brutally killing meredith kercher who shared an apartment. lama hasan reports from italy. >> reporter: it was a dramatic and emotional plea this morning. knox stood up in a packed room, mustering all the strength she had and made her final fight for freedom. the statement lasted 10 minutes. in italian, she said, i am paying with my life for something i haven't done. i'm not what they say i am. i'm not perverted and violent.

new problems for bank of america's website. the cy was down from friday until sunday morning. now it has -- crashed again. we just checked you still see the homepage temporarily unavailable. the problem started a day after the bank announced plans to begin charging customers a $5 monthly fee for using their debit cards to make purchases. the bank says customers should keep trying to logon. they stress the problems are not the result of a hacking attack. another abc 7 job journal about to get underway in

you late this afternoon, early evening. around san francisco, daly city to moss beach, the green is the rain reaching the ground. the blue probably evaporating. up to the north, healthy rain on 101 sonoma, marin county, getting ready to head into napa soon. all of this moving slowly to the east. temperatures right now for some reason that didn't update in the low to me 60s under the cloud cover -- mild win. cooler temperatures than yesterday and the rain rolling in this afternoon. sunny, break tomorrow afternoon during the daylight hours, dry and cool once again and the stronger stormypt that rolls in wednesday and that will cause problems with the heavy amount of rain and gusty winds. that's why you have today and tomorrow to get the gutters and storm drains cleaned.

rain making a slow progress to the east most everyone everybody in the mid to upper 60s, east bay valleys and south bay dry around 70. monterey bay probably not any rain until the sunsets. inland low to mid 70s. tonight lingering showers otherwise quiet for tomorrow's morning commute, low to mid 50s in the north bay, mid to upper 60s for the rest of us. the low to the north a little wave developing here that is going to energize the showers around us and also make it for such a slow trip to the east. here we are at noon still pretty much the north bay saying the most rain. by 5:00 moving through the heart of the bay, east bay south bay fall as part and becomes scattered showers overnight. tuesday quiet. tuesday night into early wednesday yellow, oranges in
