at this safeway this morning this woman will put in time at the local jail. officers surprised her at work and arrested her as part of a warrant sweep targeted dui offenders. >> when you are driving, you are not in control of your vehicle and you can hurt somebody. try to get this out there that people that have been arrested for a possible violent -- you know it is potentially there, they need to take care of their warrants. >> reporter: the team of officers has 550 warrants throughout alameda county to serve. these are people who have a warrant for failing to appear in court for a dui charge. >> just have a warrant. when i'm running them in the system i can see a lot have multiple dui's as many as five. >> reporter: they are going to homes and workplaces to make the arrests during the holidays because people are more likely to drink and drive

the program stars monday. right now aviation -- investigators looking into three airplane emergencies in northern california. a southwest flight this morning made an emergency landing after being hit by a bird shortly after takeoff. the 737 was grounded temporarily while crews checked for damage. flight 1166 took off bound for ontario, 25 onboard, nobody hurt. another investigation after a southwest airlines jet had to an individual tack off when two tires blew out last night -- takeoff when two tires blew out last night, 130 onboard, crews were called in to hose down the plane as a precaution. officials say crews inspected the runways but didn't find debris that could have been responsible forever the ruptures. all passengers were rebooked. right now federal aviation

investigators are on the scene of this crash in concord. sky 7 was over buchanan field yesterday afternoon. the pilot and passenger were treated for injuries and are doing okay. it is not known why the plane mised -- missed its intended runway the pilot didn't want to tell us what happened al inform he spoke with investigators. new occupy oakland camp set up now in a vacant lot mere mandela parkway the first time in more than -- near mandela parkway. the first time in more than five weeks. >> reporter: it is kind of a triangle plot of land. it is under lock and key you can see behind us, we are on the outside of the camp they have it locked at all entrances. earlier, they did let us in. we have video of that to show you. there are more than a dozen tents inside, maybe 16 and a dozen people.

the occupiers tell us it is private property. they have formed a tactical action committee for occupy oakland that is who behind the new camp. inside the camp they have conflict mediators and strict no drugs and alcohol policy they tell us. they are surviving on donated food and clothes inside. the occupier who spoke with us said they are looking to give the homeless food and shelter for winter. >> right there in front of the city's face and showing them they are not caring. what we have to do now is push forward and worry about ourselves and get each other involved and help each other out, because it seems like the city not going to do it >> reporter: you are looking now at video of frank ogawa plaza on november 22nd, that is how the last occupy camp came to be removed. police moved in after the city decided that location was no longer viable. as far as this location, police know of it.

think came out after neighbors called yesterday. the officers did come here but they confirm that it is right property and they are not going to do anything unless the owners come forward and ask for the "trespassers to be removed." the occupiers say they weren't able to find tax assessment records of this land so they don't know hot owners are. katie marzullo, abc7 news. the occupy movement has set up camp in iowa where the republican presidential caucus is set for next tuesday. occupiers want to turn the vote into what they call a raucous caucus planning protests at candidate events and polling stations. organizers say they want to an individual the homeless and violent aspects and concentrate and change. gop candidates are fanning out around the state today. broken water main causing a mess but not loss of service.
