>> reporter: this quickly became a two alarm fire which meant there were 50 firefighters here battling this blaze. is essentially all but smoldering now. crews rushed to kelly park this morning to find a 1912 home engulfed in flames. since it was boarded up, not in use, firefighters didn't risk going into the burning building to fight the blaze. >> we had fire in the front out sight and active fire in the attic on the top part with an abandoned building there's no reason to put our firefighters at risk. have collapse hazards early on we determined to make it exterior firefighting-only. >> reporter: they did go into that defensive mode of firefighting. the kelly house is located on

the 172 acre kelly park home of the happy hallow zoo. the director says because of the fast response and the wind direction the 150 animals were never in danger. a piece of history is gone. the kelly family was one of san jose's early pioneers. there were deems of renovating this kelly a -- were dreams of renovating this kelly into a learning center. now the park director hopes some of the historical items, documents and photos and items stored in the home can be salvaged. as to the cause, that is under investigation. the fire captain says there is no reason to believe with someone was in the house. because of the sudden nature of this fire, it is being considered suspicious. karina rusk, abc7 news. investigators will be getting high-tech help today in their search for human remains at the bottom of a

san joaquin county well. they plan to send a camera into the well to search for bones and other evidence. investigators found at least 1,000 bone fragments in one well. they plan to search a second well and are asking for documentation about other wells on the profit. crews began the search last week after receiving information from a convicted serial killer. hundreds of bay area nursing students are finding out this morning all their hard work nay be for naught. the state has -- may be for naught. state has closed down the two institutions. >> reporter: we with were inside the room during the meeting 150 students and representatives of the school. these vocational students are asking the question after all this time and money, how come we can't seen sit for our license exams? more than 100 came today to

another health warning. high levels of arsenic this time not in juice, but in baby formula. katie marzullo joins us with more what is the source? >> reporter: the study points to one particular ingredient organic brown rice syrup. not only adding arsenic to formula but cereal bars and energy shots: organic brown rice syrup is a popular and healthier substitute for high fructose corn syrup.
