san francisco general where she is being treated for a compound leg fracture. the driver stopped and is cooperating with police. authorities say no alcohol or foul play is suspected. police have not issued a citation and the is still under investigation. there's going to be a delay in the domestic violence misdemeanor trial of san francisco sheriff ross mirkarimi. the lawyers say they need a bigger pool of jurors. amy hollyfield joins us. >> reporter: they starred with 300 potential jurors. now they are down to 100. attorneys say they are finding that everyone either knows too much about this case or thinks they know too much. attorneys now want a larger pool of people to choose from. san francisco supervisor showed up for jury duty this morning. he won't get selected. he knows and has worked with the defendant ross mirkarimi. he will be dismissed along with several others in the jury pool. >> i think the challenge is people of course know, they think they know a lot about the case because they followed

the coverage. the problem for cause, are that people have formed strong opinions. >> reporter: the defense is pointing to this issue as reason to move the trial. attorneys don't think mirkarimi can find a fair and partial jury. they say too many details have already gone public. like this video of his wife's bruised arm, which prosecutors say happened when mirkarimi grabbed her. also, the testimony from mirkarimi's ex-girlfriend who says mirkarimi verbally and physically abused her when she confronted him with another woman's underwear which she says she found in his home. the defense says the ex-girlfriend is lying, that there was no abuse. the defense is fighting keep the video out of trial. still, mirkarimi's attorneys would be happier if the case moved out of the city. >> where would you like to go? do you have an idea of a fair county? >> no, somewhere warm. >> reporter: prosecutors must

file a response to the change of venue motion. the trial is not expected to gibraltar underway any time soon. >> -- we are going according to court schedule we are looking at it very carefully. >> reporter: she might file her response by friday, no promises. the defense attorney did tell me she thinks the trial will go quickly once it gets started. tomorrow they land to bring in 100 more potential jurors. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. oakland police are looking for witnesses after a deadly shooting that lead to a car crash that injured two children and one of the mothers. rescuers had to cut the two children and their mothers from a smashed monte carlo last night. they had been broadsided by a blue bentley a man driving the bentley was shot but his car kept rolling that man died at a local hospital. one of the moms is in the

hospital in stable condition. the other wasn't hurt. a 6-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl were treated for minor injuries. in oakland a judge ruled within the last hour he will delay the release of -- public release of a report until march 16th. today the union representing uc police wanted the judge to wait until the union investigation is complete. campus police officers sprayed student protest in the face with pepper spray last november during an occupy protest. the union attorney says the officers gave their names and other confidential information to investigators and don't want that information made public. the report initially was schedule odd to be released this afternoon. israeli president shimon peres has a new international facebook page after visiting ceo mark zuckerberg in morning and interacting with facebook users in a live web interview. terry mcsweeney is live at facebook headquarters in menlo park. a lot on his agenda today. >> reporter: there is.
