sky 7 hd xuars gruesome murder scene. three men and two women are discovered dead in a san francisco home. it's located right across the street from city college in the ingleside district. i'm kristen sze. >> cheryl: i'm cheryl jennings. katie is live at the scene. do police think it's safe now? >> they do but it's not a clear explanation as to why. the police chief describes the crime scene as complicated. he says they have a lot to learn how five bodies ended up inside

the home. >> shortly before 8:00 this morning a woman that lives at 16 health street entered the home. inside she found three dead bodies she will called police. officers arrived and found two more bodies. three women and two men dead. >> some of the victims suffered gunshot wounds. we don't know at this point it is complicated crime scene. we don't know the cause of death. medical examiner has not gone in yet. >> police have not ruled anything out. the killer could be one of the dead but a weapon has not been found. >> we don't have a suspect. we don't know for a fact that we are looking for a suspect. >> reporter: despite all the questions, chief of police says the public is not in any danger. >> i want to assure the public we don't believe anybody at large that is looking to do random act. we believe this act was specific to this residence.

>> reporter: the police chief says all of the victims are asian and he believes all of them lived inside the home. they are looking into the relationship between the victims. it is possible they are all related. a complicated crime scene, chief says they are going to take their time out here. >> cheryl: the f.b.i. now involved in the search for a missing south bay teenager who disappeared one week ago today. f.b.i. agents set up a roadblock in morgan hill where 15-year-old sierra lamar is believed to have vanished. terry mcsweeney joins us with the newest developments. >> reporter: 15 f.b.i. agents were right here stopping cars asking questions, it was about 7:00 when they arrived. that is about one week to the minute that 15-year-old sierra lamar disappeared. right now they are out looking for clues in case where there are precious few. >> you come through here every day?

>> they asked drivers if they travel here often and did they see anything peculiar, anything at all. drivers of all vehicles were questioned. the agency says the f.b.i. is assisting the santa clara county sheriff's office and we doing what we can to support the investigation. we have f.b.i. personnel canvassing tonight and this morning. this follows by one day the all out ground search by rescue personnel including five canine teams. they found nothing. >> each day it gets scary, purposely to leave stuff behind. >> reporter: they confirmed the pink and black purse is larmar's it answered some questions but raised others. >> the clothing was neatly

carrying a red and white right lane umbrella. >> kristen: spca in monterey county is helping a dog get back to health. ingo is a five-year-old german sheppard. he was dehydrated when officers seized it from the officer a month ago. it's ribs was protruding and only weighed 55 pounds and had dirt and plastic in its stomach. the officer has been charged by monterey county d.a. the latest picture, it's now up to 70 pounds and doing much better after being on a special diet. >> cheryl: california's unemployment rate remains the same. they say the jobless rate held at 10.9%. they added 4,000 non-farm jobs. california has added just over 333,000 jobs since the economic

recovery officially begin in 2009 but the number of unemployed people remains above 2 million. >> kristen: new home sales in the u.s. fell for a third straight month in february. commerce department says new sales fell nearly 2% but prices surged to the highest level in eight months suggesting builders are anticipating more demand in the months ahead. median sales price jumped nearly 234,000 nationwide. new home sales have a big impact on the economy. national association of home builders says for each home built, three jobs are created and $90,000 in tax revenue is generated. bank 6 america launched a pilot program to allow some homeowners facing foreclosure to stay in their homes by becoming renters. participants must transfer title to their properties and begin paying rent as tenants. critics say it's a way for the bank to add to the bottom line. right now the program is limited to arizona, nevada and new york.

officials say it will expand if all goes well in the next few months. >> cheryl: federal dollars to help transportation systems could end next week because they can't agree on a funding bill. a bay area congressman is seeing for himself how important the funding is. amy hollyfield joins us with more. >> reporter: bart officials say they are not sure that elected officials and bart riders get it. they say the future of bart is in jeopardy. so they invited congressman john garamendi and other local officials out in the maintenance yard to see for themselves. >> bart's trains are 40 years old. mechanics say they can't find brand-new parts because nobody makes them anymore. >> we go on ebay and buy them up so we can repair the trains. we're putting them together and they are safe but we are running

out of finding new parts. >> reporter: with federal transportation money in question bart officials are in a panic. fund will go stop at the end of this month if they can't get a bill passed. >> we don't get the money from congress if we don't get people to understand the trains won't be running anymore. we have every train we can out there every day. we are running them into the ground. >> bart officials invited congressman john garamendi and other local and state officials to come and here how dire the situation is for the agency. bart's board says it is competing with the rest of the country for money and needs help. the representative says the state of affairs at bart is a business disappointing. >> i'm not happy to see we're using 40-year old machines. oldest fleet in america and among theet in the entire world. i'm not happy about that at all. that is where we need to focus

45 in san rafael. everybody else in the low to mid-50s. monterey bay, mid to upper 50s. here is what i think is going to happen. it will be dry today. increase in high clouds this afternoon. rain will have a lot of it, wave after wave saturday into sunday then we'll have more chances of rain next week. for today, temperatures well below average. we should be 5-10 degrees warmer than this. may hit the mid-60s for the warm spots. upper 50s to near 60 around the monterey bay. look at all the rain coming down. our temperatures will be a little smaller range from the low to mid-50s 40s. not a very impressive storm but it will slide in the bay area and stall. exactly where is that front going to stall. you see the high clouds.

2:00 the rain moves into the north bay. then it moves over all our neighborhoods in the overnight hours. it stalls in the east bay valleys and heaviest rain tomorrow going to be in the central valley during the afternoon hours. then back into our neighborhoods in the evening and overnight hours on sunday and then scattered showers for sunday afternoon. by evening hours it finally tapers and moves away. what we're looking at as far as rain totals. three-quarters to inch and a half here and then sunday, with the snow, several inches but less than a foot up in the sierra. you can see temperatures a little warmer but still a lot of rain. >> cheryl: we need it. thank you. >> kristen: this is national day urged to take a break from your tech toys. reboot recommends turning off your laptop, smart phone from sun up to sundown today. extra time could be used to reconnect with family, the world
