answers following a series of fatal shootings in the visitacion neighborhood. it has claimed four lives in past four days, one victim was gunned down last night. terry mcsweeney is live at the hall of justice. >> reporter: san francisco police are not saying this is gang-related although i was out visitacion valley neighborhood and folks say it definitely is. what can san francisco list do in addition to what they have already done? in june they sent ten new officers to deal with the problem and right now it doesn't seem to be working. >> police plot their next move, wilma makes the same moves she makes every morning. she takes her granddaughter to the bus stop. she fears for her daughter's safety and for her own. >> in the last year, i don't know 15 kids have gone. i seen them go home to funerals. why are we dying?

>> one died last night on san bruno avenue. another is fighting for his life. two men walked up in front of a building and shot them and ran to a waiting white ford driven by a woman. there have been no arrests. >> no neighborhood, all kids to train and get skills and learn. i don't want to see no kids dying. >> she is talking about monday's double killing in broad daylight. it happened during a huge fight. police are not saying they are gang-related. >> another woman out here who lives in san carlos who visits here frequently and she has no fear of coming out here. >> the people i met when i come here in the area, wonderful hard working people. i feel comfortable. i haven't had any reason not to. >> there are a lot of good people here.

everybody is trying to work together. it's a multidiverse neighborhood. it's going to be graveyard here real quick. >> reporter: i am told by san francisco police that the chief is going to have a comment about what the new strategy might be later today. >> cheryl: funeral services are underway for a san jose mother and father murdered in their home last week. vicious crime happened while three children were inside the house but they survived. though are still looking for the suspect of killing the couple. investigators say the suspect is armed and dangerous and on his way to mexico. last night fund-raiser was held for the couple's three children. all the money raised will go to the kids who will now be raised by a family member. police think the suspect was killed because mary bell broke up with him to reunite with the father of their children.

>> sierra lamar missing. torres the man accused of killing her was recently appointed a new attorney. supports of the lamar family showed up at the courthouse for a hearing. many of them have been involved in the search for the missing 15-year-old. >> a loud blasted woke up one neighborhood to a potentially dangerous prank. seven several people called police. they found the remnants of what appears to be an exploded soda bottle there was another bottle that could make it explode. they have had a few cases like this recently. >> sometimes it turns out to be teenagers or younger people
