>> live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> a shocking crime in the most unlikely places, a young man is discovered murdered on an elementary school campus in the east bay. good morning, i am kristen sze. >> the sheriff asked the school to shut down while the investigation is underway. it happened at hillside elementary school in san leandro last night. abc7 news reporter is live with the latest. amy? >> today is valentine's day which is a fun day to be at school so teachers imagine there is disappointment. of course, there is understanding that police needed to do their work and there is sympathy for the victim's family. >> investigators have not released the name of the young man shot and killed last night on the hillside elementary school campus. a friend of his tells us he was 19 years old and had a promising future. >> he was in sports. he never got into trouble at

all. he was knowledgeable. he was a good kid. authorities got the kill that shots were fired at school last night before 9:00. they found a man who was shot. he died the scene hospital. investigators say they have a few theories about what happened including the possibility that he was here playing a game. >> allegedly he was shooting dice or something like that. >> after spending the night on the scene the sheriff deputies realized they needed more time and daylight to look for clues so they closed the school for the day. without the kids around they focused on playground, rooftop, and playing field. >> you do not know what you have until you look. we did not want to do it at night or run the risk of kids playing around and find something they should not find. >> this does not bother some students like kevin.

and the warmer spots, including los gatos could get to 70 and low-to-mid 60's along the coast and much brighter and much warmer than it was year. 66 in monterey, and san that -- santa cruz will catch up at 69. mid 60's in big sur and upper 60's in san diego and low-to-mid 70's for los angeles and sacramento and 49 in tahoe. we will be milder tomorrow morning, and we will not have to deal with the fog because of the offshore. the high pressure is starting to take over but both of them combined, combined, will keep the jet stream to the north and go way over to the west coming off the coast of japan there and you can see our next storm and it will make us wet and cooler on tuesday and wednesday. until then we will make a run at 70 again tomorrow and
