developments. >> reporter: it looks like they identified a suspect in this case, and part because police identified lots of witnesses to this drive-by shooting of let's show you the picture. this is a picture police are trying of the guy that police are trying to catch, 32-year-old james jarrard is considered armed and dangerous. witnesses told me offcamera he is known as "smiley" but family of the eight-year-old victim did not want to talk to me on camera but said offcamera the eight-year-old is at children's hospital and doctors have not been able to remove the bullet in his neck and said the child was not the intended victims. there were other kids playing in the front yard, and watching thing walt the shooter's own brother, who has not been identified. people who saw the shooting say he was the bended victim and the bullet passed through a pant leg and hit the child. seems the alleged shooter and his brother are in some type of

family dispute. there will several witnesses and police are saying of the suspect that he is considered armed and dangerous, and if anyone knows where he is, they should call the police immediately. reporting live in concord, abc7~news. >> thank you, sergio. police in oakland are searching for the person who shot and killed man last night. it happened 10:30. the victim died at the scene. a routine training mission for seven san francisco firefighters turned into a rescue near ocean beach today. rough ocean waves caused their training boat to overturn this morning. sky 7hd shows us the large field of debris left behind. cornell bernard just stepped out of a news conference on the scary rescue, and joins us now with new details. cornell? >> reporter: just got an update from the fire department here at station 47. four firefighters were taken to the hospital. one will remain overnight. after suffering hypothermia.

an investigation is underway after first responders found themselves in need of rescue. a routine training exercise for firefighters quickly became a rescue mission on the water. this firefighter still wet, standing in his bare feet, was one of six firefighters treason into the pacific. it happened during the training exerciser in theliffhouse. seven firefighters aboard a 30-foot rescue fire boat when they got into trouble. >> conditions were calm. there was a big wave that came up. somebody called a rogue wave. and flipped the boat. >> first responders on jet skis were nearby but rescue everyone wasn't easy. >> the jet ski came to get one swimmer, or person in the water. the person grabbed on and all of a sudden a set came and the waves were breaking and the gentlemen ski had to level but came back and pulled a couple people out. >> worried? >> we were. we thought maybe somebody was trapped on the rocks and we

couldn't see them, or maybe they had gone under. >> sky 7hd was over the area where the boat drift along with a lot of equipment onboard that is now floating on the water. >> we have had some of the most experienced firefighters and swipples on the boat. >> reporter: four firefighters were taken to the hospital as a precaution. >> our member ares okay. >> reporter: after a scary day on the water. >> bart has shut down service ben the bayfair and dublin pleasanton station for repairs to equipment and tracks. in san leandro, ride are taking a bus bridge. bart will shut down solves on select weekend between now and june to take time to replace rail, railroad ties and switches. the work is part of the building a better bart program. and abc7 news was in downtown berkeley where cuters faced delays after a person was hit and killed by a bart train

this morning. bart kept the berkeley indication closed for two hours. trains made other stops along the richmond line but skipped downtown berkeley. there's one more big closure happening tonight on highway 101 on the peninsula. all southbound lanes are closed overnight in burlingame from midnight to 7:00 in the morning. caltrans with finish work from last weekend, switching all cars from an old bridge on to a new overpass. the work has been ongoing for ten months of traffic will be detoured overnight so expect delays. sky 7hd was above san francisco while crews worked to upgate the muni tunnel. muni is providing shuttle buses to help riders. crews started replacing tracks and they plan to have light rail vehicles running again along the full length of the line on monday morning. >> the commercial dungeness crab season started today, one minute

man faces a life sentence without parole after being found guilty of killing three people in a marijuana deal gone band in sonoma county. a jury convicted 49-year-old mark capello for deliberating after fewer than six hours. you can see where the of his business partners were shot to death. another one of his fellow drug dealers delivered key testimony against him in exchange for a lighter sentence. several people planned to ship 100-pounds of pot to other states and sell it. people living near a capped methane gas leak in southern california are still propertying problems. the fumes are going from porter ranch but people have found residue in their home's playgrounds. health inspectors have been

if you plan on visiting the golden gate bridge tomorrow you won't be able to park your car at two busy locations near the historic span. no parking signs will go up again at the bridge's welcome center on the san francisco side, and at vista point on the marin county side. the private vehicle ban will run from 11:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon. tour buses, taxis and ride-sharing services can drive into the lots. the bridge district lopes to prevent traffic jams on the span.
