through the abc7 news app after getting a tip that aldon smith had turned himself into police following an alleged domestic violence incident. abc7 news was at the san francisco county jail when smith posted a $30,000 bond. smith had been wanted since saturday when we alleged assaulted his fiance. she called the police to report the incident. here is how the police radio dispatcher described what happened. this is just the latest in the series of run-ins with the law. string of arrests and just served a one year suspension. we have reporting on a death of a mother and son killed in a freak accident near lake tahoe

sunday night. today the school where aaron goodstein are experiencing difficult times. >> seven-year-old aaron goodstein was a student at hays valley international. >> we have counselors in place and plan to have support throughout the week as our community processes. >> reporter: his mother had worked at a biotech company in emeryville but left last summer. the ceo says she will be missed by all. in a statement josh hoffman wrote, olga was a valuable member of our community at zimmer gen. this afternoon flowers arrived

at the san francisco home where they lived. a poster made by children was also left at the entrance of the home. it was made out to her husband and their two remaining children. the mother and son were killed shortly after skiing at kirkwood mountain resort. they skied underneath a roof covered with snow which slid from the roof burying them. they were discovered by a neighbor a few hours later. she is survived by her husband david and two children. lyanne melendez abc7 news. new details about what may have caused this frightening sight last month on a flight from sfo. an engine on this honolulu bound plane missing its covering. today the ntsb said several fan blades on the engine broke.

investigators also say the pilots reseed warnings of an engine compressor stall and shut down the engine. >> marin county decided to take its time to make a decision on short-term rental rules. would have required any property owner to post a detail sign if the property was available to rent. after receiving feedback, the county will take more time to re-examine the proposed rules. high school robotics team from the south bay has days to recreate weeks and weeks of hard work after a thief stole their robot. leslie brinkley shows how cooperation will get them ready for the competition. >> 20 days. >> reporter: the monte vista

april or may. abc7 news. walked out of jail, lawyers for them say child abuse charges should be dropped. these are the conditions that the three kids between the ages of 11 and 14 were found living in. main shelter was a large box, no electricity and no running water. reportedly living like this for years. lawyers for the parents saying being poor does not amount to abuse. 13 children found in tort e torturous conditions received a special treat from cellist yo-yo ma. the children were rescued in january after a 17-year-old girl escaped from the home in paris and called 911.
