yesterday. a high school robotic team from the south bay has days to recreate weeks of hard work after a thief stole the robot. the theft happened when they were in utah for a weekend robotic event. abc 7 news lessry brinkley shows us out how cooperation will get them ready for the next competition. >> we have 20 i to get the machining stuch together hopefully get on a a little bit of driver practice. >> the team plu to utah over the weekend to compete with over 50 other teams. one of their mentors drove heir robot creation up there in a u haul trailer parked behind the motel. >> it was devastating. we had a solid competition. we made it to semi finals .. the time was ecstatic. >> a truck is seen in turns pulling out of the motel parking lot with the trailer. police rofrd the trailer minus the contents. >> six weeks of such hard work. every single day. and then that whole thing taken away from us.
