have been much worse if it weren't for a good samaritan. >> he was cut on the hand while wrestling the knife away. >> 2:45, it's a knife and looks like it's a 4 to 5 inch knife male stubbing another male. >> i need medical. lot of blood. >> a man in his 60s is currently in critical condition. his sister in her 50s is in fair condition. they didn't know the suspected attacker, 32-year-old robert dolf of san francisco. he was acting erratically and the pair was alarmed and exited the train at the oakland coliseum station. police say cameras show dolf attacking the victims with a large fixed blade knife. a good samaritan intervened and in doing so he saved the victims' lives. >> others helped hold him down to the ground. police say they don't know if he was on drugs at the time. >> it appears as though he was out of his mind. there doesn't a appear to be any motive other than to do harm to these people.

>> dolf is currentsfully custody at the santa rita jail on attempted murder charge. police say he confessed but gave no motive. >> authorities say someone shot and killed a 23-year-old man in pleasant hill. it is the first homicide in the city since 2012. and as abc7 news reporter cornell bernard tells us, it all happened during an apparent robbery involving marijuana. >> well, i'm shocked it's something i like to happen here in my neighborhood. >> reporter: neighbor stunned to learn about a homicide on her own street. police say it happened at this home on norse drive late saturday. the victim 23-year-old elor shot multiple times. >> information led to the fact the suspect made specific statements during the course of a robbery targeting marijuana. >> reporter: he died at the scene. a suspect is still at large. police have few leads. >> right now we are telling the

public there is no inherent risk. >> reporter: did you hear gunshots? >> i hrd one. >> reporter: the problem had been a nuisance for more than a year. you called the pleets about this home before? >> yes. >> reporter: this neighborhood who didn't want to go on camera said police have been called to the home multiple times. >> the constant in and out traffic. i don't know what was going on, but i knew it had to be some drugs. >> reporter: police won't say how many times they have responded to the home. >> i can tell you that any report we received from any citizen wlrks they be from our community or from any neighborhood, we do follow-up with. >> reporter: a man at the home had no comment and asked us to leave. in pleasant hill, cornell bernard, abc7 news. >> former 49er and raider all den smith has been arrested for the third time in two months. san francisco sheriff's department tells the chronicle smith was booked friday afternoon into the jail for violating a condition of his electronic monitoring while on bail. his new bail is set at half a million dollars. smith is due back in court wednesday afternoon. he's pleaded not guilty to domestic violence and other charges. prosecutors say he assaulted a

woman on march 3rd. >> most of us saw several inches of rainfall over the last few days. today, though, the sun was back out. those clouds and the rain, they are now gone. but for some of you they could be coming back in just a few days. meteorologist drew tuma has more. drew? >> yeah, dion, over the next couple days we're going to see wild swings with our weather. first we see warmer air and then we see our next chance for rain outside, sutro tower showing a beautiful night after a splendid end to the weekend. so, what to expect this week? it's a quiet start on monday, very warm temperatures greet us tomorrow afternoon. but by mid week, cooler air moves in. so do the clouds. and our next chance for rain for most of us will be wednesday night, but it will be a sunny finish to the upcoming week. storm impact scale tuesday into wednesy, level 1 system, couple of light showers at times. look at rainfall, though. really minimal. we're talking less than a quarter of an inch once the storm system is out of here. we'll go hour by hour time the storm system out show you how warm you get tomorrow afternoon

over abundance of trees and brush are putting the state in fire danger. california officials are not working fast enough to manage vegetation. an unprecedented amount of vegetation is dead from the recent drought making its removal evenore critical. they also want the california natural resources agency to take care of forest health instead of cal fire which is busy dealing with ongoing fires. >> president trump is vowing that syria's leader will pay a, quote, big price after a possible toxic chemical attack in syria's civil war. tomorrow the united nations security council will hold an emergency meeting. abc news reporter dave packer has the latest. >> reporter: dozens of people are dead after an alleged chemical attack in the syrian city of duma not far from the capital damascus. patients flooded into makeshift clinics, many women and children struggling to breathe. the united nations security council is set t hold two

meetings monday, one at the request of russia though the topic of the meeting is unclear. the second meeting at the request of the united states and eight other countries to discuss the attack in syria. the syrian regime backed by the russians denies using chemical weapons against its people, claiming the videos were fabricated. but president trump is condemning the attack and making a rare direct criticism of the russian president tweeting, president putin, russia and iran are responsible for backing animal assad. big price to pay. republican senator lindsey graham says how the president responds will be a defining moment in his psidency. >> so, assad is at it again. they see us, our resolve breaking. they see our determination to stay in syria waning and it's no accident they used chemical weapons. >> reporter: white house homeland security advisor said the president and his advisors are discussing options. when asked about the possibilities of a missile strike, he did not rule it out. >> i wouldn't take anything off the table. these are horblble photos. we're looking into the attack at this point. the state department. >> reporter: diane, abc news,

the father of one of the parkland, florida shooting victims is traveling the country with a mural to preserve his son's memory. manuel oliver was in los angeles this weekend and drew a sizeable crowd. he has already brought his mural to miami and new york city. the mural brought out a lot of emotion, not just from manuel, but those who came to see it. >> out there with a loud voice fighting for his rights. now he's not marching for his life. he's marching for your life. so, please stay strong. >> one of them was violence, so i was in -- father and mother what they're going through. >> manuel's son joaquin was one of the 17 people killed at stoneman douglas high school. the family has launched a nonprofit in his memory. >> horses train by jail inmates were put up for adoption this weekend in northern

a rather unique estate sale is going on in san francisco. >> abc7 news was at the armory on mission street where everything must go. there's a lot more than just military history inside this amory. the building was the home of kink.com, that's an adult entertainment company. >> shoppers found a variety of items as you can imagine, all for sale, but mostly office furniture is left. >> it's just a few interesting items left. moment of it has already been sold. we had huge crowds on friday and saturday. on friday even in the pouring rain, people had to bring umbrellas, we had a line around the corner. >> the same at the armory ends tomorrow. >> well, abc7 news was at the soma arts cultural center in san

into the 50s. 57 in san jose. 56 in oakland, 59 that current temperature in antioch. here's a call from acyu weccuwe. plenty of stars. a little bit of patchy fog, that's about it. temperatures dropping to mid 40s, 50s overnight tonight. here's what we're tracking. live doppler 7 satellite, the past 12 hours across california, we have had clear skies. thanks to high pressure off the coast. so, the wider picture will show you this high pressure essentially moves over us tomorrow. that will bring the warmer weather and also relax our winds that we had earlier today. here are your highs on monday, well above average this time of the year. 80 in concord, lots of sunshine in oakland, up to 72 degrees. mild in san francisco, high of 70 tomorrow afternoon. 80 in clover dale and a high of 78 degrees in napa. just to our south, though, even warmer weather. look at l.a. tomorrow.

91 degrees for a high tomorrow afternoon. 97 in palm springs. even fresno and bakersfield into the 80s, well above average for this time of year. so really nice night for a ball game at at&t park tomorrow. the diamondbacks are in town, first pitch temperature under mainly sunny skies, 65 degrees. the game wraps up at 10:00, a few clouds here and there, and temperatures cooling offer to 59 degrees. a light jacket certainly needed. by tuesday, though, the warm air is out of here. a cold front will move in and that brings back the chance of a shower both tuesday and into wednesday. this is a light level 1 system with light showers at times. total rainfall less than a quarter of an inch of rain. it does look to be breezy wednesday night. so, future weather tuesday morning. it's mainly dry. a mix of sun and clouds out there. tuesday itself, the north bay looks to have the best chance of seeing any moisture. south of the golden gate you'll remain rather dry tuesday. that will change on wednesday as the actual cold front moves through here wednesday night.

by 9:00, this is when everybody across the board has a chance of seeing some light showers with this quick-moving system. total rainfall, once again, nothg like we just experienced, that soaking late last week. by wednesday night, most spots, you're lucky if you reach a quarter of an inch. a lot of spots likely ending up with less than that. the accuweather seven-day forecast, there is a chance of light shower tuesday, better bet on wednesday, perhaps some isolated drizzle on thursday, but we'll get rid of the cloud cover. sunshine returns on friday and warmer weather greets us to start off next weekend. >> announcer: now abc7 sports with mike shumann. >> they know they won't change if they study for the chance. the season starts next week in the playoffs. they didn't have to do much. it's about tuning up. steph curry on the road, getting some pregame work and some announcing in the second quarter. klay thompson did all the slashing anybody could in the
