sheriff's office spent most of the day searching for a fisherman who went overboard into the delta this morning. two men were found in the water yelling for help this morning near antioch bridge. >> officials managed to find one of the men but couldn't find the other. the search was suspended at 3:00. the sheriff's office says their boat was hit by a wake that knocked them into the water. neither man was wearing a life vest -- the victim's boat was knocked into the water. neither men were wearing a life vest. >> reporter: dion, students tl me they're almost numb, but this one rises above the noise. there's an order of pepper spray

after a woman told her roommates what happened this morning. >> it decided he decided he was going to take advantage of her, being alone, female walking. >> reporter: uc berkeley police released this photo taken from security cameras that captured the moment when the victim made her inside the ground. you can see her on the ground and the attempted robber who appears to have a gun in his hand. grace mosier lives on the same floor as the victim and said after the man threatened her she ran, but he caught up, once she got to the door she got her jacket and tennis racket. as those fell off her back, she made it inside to safety. according to the victim the man threatened her with a gun. >> something along the line of give me your stuff, i have a gun basically. so she said her first reaction was just to take off. >> reporter: police describe the

attempted robber as a light skin man in his 20s, short hair, possibly corn rows. wearing a black hoodie, acid wash jeans and carried a black handgun in his left hand. >> katey, thanks. the crime camera helped locate a car stolen from san jose. it alerted officers to a honda accord taken yesterday. also in the car a 15-year-old female passenger who had been reported missing. she's been reunited with her parents. two teen boys also in the car were released to their parents without any charges. a livermore man stealing a car during a test drive. now, he never returned. the officers tracked him down. you see him on the sidewalk there. he'll face several charges. indebate over tazers continues to be a hot button issues in san francisco.

this time it's about a ballot measure that will go before voters in june. alissa, harrington is live where some supporters of proposition 8 are out trying to get votes. alissa? >> reporter: that's right. well, san francisco voters in june will decide whether to overturn with a less restrictive policy pushed by the police union. either way officers will be equipped with tacesers startingt the end of the year. they canvassed the west portal neighborhood, handed out fliers and talked to residents. they're hoping to drum up support for proposition 8, which would also institute a policy that could not be changed again without another vote. the police commission just adopted its own policy back in march. i spoke with a sergeant who patrols the bay view.

she said prop 8 would protect the city. but one outspoken advocate calls the tools dangerous. >> as a female officer i want every tool at my disposal so i can go home. and if having this taser means i can do my job safely then that's what i want. >> i'm certain if we get tasers they're more likely to be used on people of color, on homeless people, more likely to be used by the same people currently being shot by sfpd and i don't support that. >> reporter: voters will make a decision on june 5th. we did reach out to the mayor's office and the police commissioner but have not heard back at this time. oakland residents teamed up for an annual disaster preparedness drill this morning. the 13th annual core exercise brought residents, first

responders and city officials together to get everyone on the same page when disaster strikes. the pubc education program was established in 1990 following a 1989 earthquake. drills have been taking place since 2006. >> not only do we stress neighborhood -- excuse me, personal emergency preparedness, but we help each other out in the time of a disaster. >> today's disaster simulated an earthquake along the hayward fault. the burning man community is festival's co-founder.he artist according to the organization harvey suffered a stroke earlier this month. he died today in san francisco. in 1986 harvey and a friend burned a wooden man on baker beach to mark the summer sole sts. the event grew and four years
