a warning this morning to be on high alert when you answer your phone. the washoe county sheriff's office says scammers are posing as sheriff's deputies to try and get your money. they're even using the names of people who actually work at the sheriff's department. here's how it works. the caller says there's a warrant out for your arrest. they say you can either surrender and agree to be arrested, or pay a "reduced" fine. you'll be asked to pay-- by using an "e-gift" card, or something similar. it's important to remember-- local law enforcement will never ask for payment over the phone, for warrants or fines. if you receive one of these calls-- write down the caller's name and phone number, then call the sheriff's office at 328-3001. ### another candidate is out of the race for president. with an update on the g-o-p race ... here's abc's marci gonzalez in manchester, new hampshire: script: today- donald trump-

'roberto's taco shop' has finally opened up a new location in the biggest little city. it's located on north virginia and 8th street, near u-n-r. right now the restaurant is only accepting cash but that could change in the future. roberto's is open 24 hours a day. it will be bit of relief for people trying to get around construction on the virginia street bridge downtown. a small portion of west first street has been re-opened. previously drivers heading down sierra street would have to take a detour. it looks like plans are moving ahead for paid parking at m-g-m owned properties on the las vegas strip. the casino giant announced yesterday that chicago-based "sp plus" will handle paid parking at its resorts ... including mandalay bay, new york-new york, bellagio and the m-g-m grand. the move is scheduled to happen within 60 days. m-g-m resorts says it's all part of a 90-million dollar parking upgrade. fears of the zika virus

acupuncture has been practiced in china and other asian countries for thousands of years. research has shown the practice can reduce nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy and it can also relieve pain. now doctors are looking to see if it can help certain breast cancer patients. here's carl azuz --reporter pkg-as follows-- when titi ariyo was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, her doctors put her on a treatment that caused her to have some serious side effects. "i had joint pain, my knees and my ankles and my entire body just hurt." so her physicians recommended she take part in a trial study that looked at acupuncture as a way to relieve some of her pain. she says it worked. "i was sleeping better and also the pain reduced." experts say more than 60 percent of women with early stage breast cancer suffer from hot flashes, joint and

depression caused by their treatment. they thought if acupuncture could help some of their discomfort, it could eventually be used as therapy along with the medication. what they found was both patients who were treated with acupuncture and sham acupuncture, which involves retractable needles, that are not placed in acupuncture pressure points, said they felt some relief. dr. ting bao said, "our trial definitely shows there are minimum side effects, and this can potentially help them have significant symptom improvement, both in musculoskeletal symptoms and also hot flashes." dr. bao theorizes that the pricks from both real and sham acupuncture needles may stimulate the body which can relieve pain and sham or not, acupuncture may be a reasonable alternative
