the man who reno police believe stole two trucks in stead and led them on a chase. around 10:30am yesterday morning officers went looking for the suspect in a stolen truck case.... that man is 19-year-old rylin wolfe. police say he ran off when he saw police... then stole another truck was unoccupied and running in a driveway. when police tried to stop him, he led them on a chase through a neighborhood, at one point hitting a fence. police say they stopped the case for safety reasons. several agencies and the raven helicopter assisted reno police in attempting locate wolfe. the incident led to precautionary code yellow lockdowns at o'brien middle school as well as stead and silver lake elementary schools. wolfe is 5'6" and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, and is considered to be armed and dangerous. if you know anything about his whereabouts you are asked to the reno police department or secret witness at 322-4900.. you can also text a tip to 847-411 keyword.. s-w. we now know the name

leading deputies on a chase in a stolen pickup last week in carson city. the nevada highway patrol says 21-year-old edy prudensio martinez-ramirez stole a ford f150 pickup from a home in carson city. carson deputies found the truck in traffic and tried to stop martinez- ramirez... but he sped off after ramming a sheriff suv. investigators say he then lost control and drove across all the lanes of college parkway including the center median... then over a sidewalk and through a fence of the carson city airport... where he hit the airport hangar. martinez-ramirez was thrown from the truck and killed. seatbelt. no deputies or troopers were hurt in the incident. the nevada highway patrol is investigating the crash, while the public safety is investigating the incident. martinez-ramirez may in a hit-and-run. voters came out in near-record numbers in new hampshire.. shaking up both sides in the race for the white house.

there's a new grow facility in sparks and "kolo 8 news now" got a look inside. market analysts expect the legal marijuana trade to see a 30- percent growth over the next few years. that means the new company will need new employees. co-president of 'silver state trading', john stutton says they'll continue to hire people who are passionate about medicine. he says the legal marijuana business in the u-s is a multi-billion dollar industry and many of his employees are excited about the growth opportunities. the 40 thousand square foot facility began production last august, and has the capacity to hold roughly 4,000 plants -- plants that are monitored closely by the company and law enforcement. suvs over problems with the brake pedal. apparently the pedals can come loose and not work properly. models affected include 20-15 and 20-16 chevy silverado...g-m-c sierra heavy duty, and chevy tahoe police vehicles. so far, there haven't been any reports of injuries. today, the united states got one step closer to a true driverless car. regulators have long insisted "driverless" cars still need a driver -- someone who can take control by grabbing the steering wheel and slamming on the brakes. this week, regulators gave google the go- ahead to build a car without any of that. no steering wheel. no accelerator. no brakes. states can still pass laws that require vehicles to have those things, but federal regulators have opened the way for -- perhaps -- faster development of truly driverless cars. google, for years, has been telling safety regulators that its self-driving cars are safer than cars driven by humans. of course, those cars are still years away

the nevada d-m-v is putting more money into a virtual line system blamed for long wait times last summer. the state board of examiners voted to expand a 5-year contract with vendor "q-less"--- by about 300- thousand dollars. q-less offers services such as dash-pass, which allows customers to check into a virtual d- m-v line and walk to the window, when a technician is ready. last summer the d-m-v blamed dash pass for long wait times, saying people checked in from home but didn't show up. ### we're getting a look at the new license plate-- dedicated to funding parks and recreation in reno. the city-- has to have at least 1-thousand registrations in 2016, which is the minimum number required for a specialty plate. "wingfield park, idlewild, terra sports complex, the soccer fields at moana, the money would go to support that, also city programs like sierra kids, senior programs etc, all supported by this plate"
