been stabbed. his name won't be released until his family is notified. r-p-d homicide detectives say robbins admitted stabbing the man. robbins was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon. police say they are not looking for any additional suspects. a sparks man has been charged with child neglect and discharging a firearm into a home after an incident this morning. sparks police say they were called to the 3000 block of keogh drive shortly before 3am for a report of shots fired inside a home. officers say the suspect in the shooting is gordon mellinger... who has had a history of mental illness. two women and two teenage girls were inside the home during the incident. police convinced one of the women over the phone to get to the back yard... where they were able to escort her to safety. this woman confirmed that mellinger had fired two shots inside the home. swat was brought in and once they started negotiating with mellinger.. he walked out of the house and

oregon courtroom today to face charges stemming from an armed standoff in 20-14 over grazing rights. the occupation gained national attention-- as the exchange with federal agents quickly escalated. bundy was arrested last week in portland just hours before a nearly 6-week standoff at a wildlife refuge ended. the leader of that occupation-- cliven's son, ammon-- was also arrested. it's not clear why it took as long as it did to bring charges against cliven. an important recall this morning involving a high chair. 56-hundred of these "nuna baby essentials" high chairs are being recalled because the arm-bar can detach causing your child to fall. they were sold at several retailers, including nordstrom between 2013 and 2015. if you have one of these high chairs stop using it and contact nuna for a free replacement arm- bar. we've posted more information about the recall at kolo 8 news now. just click on hot topics. another recall

general motors is recalling 200-thousand saabs and saturns to replace the air bag inflators. affected models include teh saab 9-3 from 2003 to 2011 and teh saab 9-5 from 2010 and 2011. it also includes the saturn astra from 2008 and 2009. this is just the latest in several recalls involving the airbags which can explode in a crash sending shrapnel at drivers and passengers. in an effort to give people on food stamps healthier food options, the agriculture department will announce new food stamp rules today. businesses that accept food stamps will now have to stock 168 items in their stores that the department considers healthy. the department says they do not dictate what a person using food stamps buys, but they want the healthier options to be available. the changing relationship between the u-s and cuba is good for business. starting today... u-s airlines can apply for
