trouble for drivers heading over the pass. plus... a deadly shooting at a reno trailer park forces people out of their homes for hours. what we know so far about the incident. thanks for joining us on kolo 8 news now midday. i'm dave lawrence. let's go to dick stoddard with a look at the forecast. accumulating snow is now likely on the valley floor with the intense precip along and just behind the front. due to the intensity, it will initially stick to the roads then become slush with better accumulation above 5000 feet. roads will be slick. up to 2 inches are now expected on the valley floors with carson/minden being closer to 2 inches while reno/sparks more likely accumulates to around an inch. above 5000 feet, 2-4 inches

through by 4 am with showers after. at this point, with it just periodic showers and warm ground temps, expect much of the snow on roads to melt after the snow ends. therefore decided to hold off on issuing an advisory for the sierra front as the warm road temps will likely result in more wet pavement than slushy roads. still expect a reno trailer park is back open after a deadly shooting last night. it happened around 7 o'clock at the ponderosa trailer park on kietzke near snowbird lane. police say people heard several gunshots. a man was later found in the parking lot. first responders tried to revive him but he died on scene. members of the gang unit responded...but it's too early to tell if this is gang related. police are not naming any possible suspects at this time.

lake tahoe. a wisconsin woman died while skiing at heavenly resort. according to the nevada appeal... 77 year old kathryn strangman hit a tree on tuesday. emergency crews weren't able to save her. her death is under investigation and an autopsy has been scheduled. we're getting a look at new images of a woman who's body was found in a shallow grave on lone mountain and roop street in carson city last march. the carson city sheriff's office still doesn't know the woman's name. they developed these renderings to show what she may have looked like. they believe she had reddish or blond hair, and was between 4- foot-6 and 5-3. she's believed to be between the ages of 42 and 71. detectives believe she may have been buried anywhere between one month and a year. if you recognize this woman ... you're urged to call the carson city sheriff's office. some new developments in a murder case in south lake tahoe. police have arrested two men in connection

at the beverly lodge last month. 18-year-old tristan batten and 20-year-old harvest davidson are charged with one count of murder in the death of dennis wright. police say more arrests are expected and that the remaining suspects are considered armed and dangerous. ### a new tral is underway for the nevada man accused of killing his girlfriend's 2-year old son nearly 6 years ago. cody wallace appeared in a lyon county it was november 23rd, 2010-- when wallace called 9-1-1 saying thomas o'connell the fourth had stopped breathing. the boy later died of blunt force trauma. but according to court documents-- wallace consistently denies hurting the child. several mistakes made in the courtroom--- including the late disclosure of material to the jury-- led to several delays. in new testimony from a witness...she describes her conversation with wallace about the child's injuries. "he said basically, he wasn't breathing. i said, 'what happened?' he said, 'either the paramedics are here or they are on their way i don't recall' i
