plus... if you have a drone and have not registered it.. you are almost out of time on kolo 8 news now i'm dave lawrence. reno police have an arrest a man in deadly shooting at the ponderosa trailer park earlier this week... 32-year-old anthony galbraith was booked for open murder and assault with a deadly weapon. released details regarding a possible motive or other circumstances of the he and the victim knew each other. the shooting happened around 7pm wednesday. police tell us the victim was shot in the parking lot. paramedics tried to revive him, but he died at the scene. police have not released his name. although the suspect in this case has been arrested, the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can call secret witness at 322- 4900 two men have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries at local fitness centers. 47-year-old james b-zid-zook

see-l-streah celestre are facing several charges including burglary and use of another person's i-d. the investigation started back on january 29th when detectives got reports of items being stolen from inside people's lockers at several fitness centers. victim testimonies and surveillance videos were used to help police identify the suspects. detectives are also looking for an unknown woman who may be related to this case. anyone with information is asked to call secret witness at 322-4900. ### and this man and woman are accused of fraud and identity theft...after police say they broke into a car. reno police arrested 31-year-old matthew williams and 28-year-old julie morris at a downtown motel. police say they found personal items belonging to other people including credit cards, check books and computer equipment commonly used to make fraudulent checks. let's go to dick stoddard with a look at the forecast. a weak, fast moving

the search is on for a douglas county woman missing for 4 days now. 69-year-old carolyn batchelor was last seen monday night in zephyr cove. she's 5-foot-7 and weighs about 180 pounds and was wearing a long black coat. she was last seen in a honda pilot s-u-v with nevada plates h-p-2-2-9-5. if you've seen here, you're asked to call the douglas county sheriff's office. ### there was a 'ladies night out' event in fallon -- but not the kind you would expect. it took place at banner churchill community hospital, and it was an opportunity to focus on women's health. the event was to highlight the hospitals new women's imaging suite with their state of the art 3-d mammography machine - the newest in the state of nevada. it captures 3-c images in matter of seconds -- with less of a radiation dose for patients. "meaning it looks completely through the breast tissue. one analogy would be you take a loaf of bread and slice it all

concerns over the lithium ion batteries inside the hoverboards sparking a fire have led to bans by several airlines and college campuses. two people are dead and one injured after a shooting near the las vegas strip. investigators say a fight broke out at the miracle mile shops friday morning. the fight was carried outside. police say minutes later... a car pulled up to the cosmopolitan casino hotel. a man and woman suffering from gunshots wounds were inside. the woman died from her injuries the man was taken to the hospital. another woman.. with a gunshot wound.. was found dead in the street. police say they have video of the fight. no one is in custody at the moment. ethan couch's case will be moved to adult court. a texas judge made the decision today. the 18-year old could now face 120-days of jail time for the 2013 drunk driving wreck that killed four people. during his trial his attorneys used an "affluenza" defense... saying his wealthy parents coddled him too

couch was sentenced to 10-years probation. authorities believe he violated that probation after a video surfaced of him at a party where alcohol was being served. couch and his mother then fled to mexico in early december. they were caught several weeks later. the judge's ruling today means couch's probation will now extend past his 19th birthday. his probation was previously set to expire under the state's juvenile justice statutes. after couch turns 19... the adult system will assume responsibility over his case. anti-government protester and rancher cliven bundy will be extradited back home to nevada. that's according to court documents filed in oregon where bundy was arrested last week. bundy faces charges of conspiracy related to an armed standoff with federal land managers near his ranch in nevada two years ago. officers were trying to stop bundy from illegally grazing his cattle on federal land. bundy was arrested when he flew to support his sons in a separate standoff at an

"to kill a mockingbird" author harper lee has died at age 89. anderson cooper looks back at her remarkable life. --reporter pkg-as follows-- nats - "you never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view." a life lesson delivered by the fictional alabama lawyer, atticus finch, in the 1962 film to kill a mockingbird. nats - "she kissed a black man." the movie addresses racial injustice of the 1930's through the eyes of finch's young daughter, scout. these characters were first brought to life by famed author, harper lee, in a novel that would become a classic for all generations. nelle harper lee was born on april 28th, 1926
