we have new information this hour on that shooting last night at the siri casino. reno police have charged a man with open murder... police say the suspect in the shooting is 38-year- old kiley grayson. police tell us grayson stayed in the casino until they arrived. police say grayson shot the other man.. who's name has not been released follwoing an argument between the two. the shooting happened just before midnight at the siri's casino on norht virginia street. police say no one else was injured during the shooting. the investigation is still ongoing. and last week reno police released photographs of a white 2 door passenger car that thoguht may have

south reno. r-p-d tells us that they found they vehicle on friday and it has been taken to the station for processing. no arrests have been made in this case so police are still asking for your help. if you know anything about this case or the shooting at the siri casino you can call reno police or secret witness at 322-4900. local construction workers are holding a protest right now at the tesla gigafactory construction site. the strike is in protest of nevada tax breaks that workers claim are being spent to bring workers from new mexico to work at the gigafactory construction site. nevada governor brian sandoval signed legislation giving tesla $1.4 billion in tax

gigafactory in nevada. "this legislation was passed with limited protection for nevada's construction workers," said todd koch, president of the building and construction trades council of northern nevada. "nevada's tax dollars should be used to provide jobs for nevada construction workers not new mexico construction workers." there has been no official comment from tesla. "we think it's a raw deal for nevada's workers. we think this corporate welfare at it's worst. there are nevada workers who are available, skilled workers to do these jobs. they are choosing to bring workers from out of state so they can pay them less." a spokesperson for tesla has this to say this morning... today's activity stems from the local carpenters union protesting against one of the third party construction contractors that tesla is using at the gigafactory. their issue is not with how tesla treats its workers. their issue is that of the many third party contractors that are involved in the construction of the gigafactory, many are union but the one at issue is not. the union is also claiming that

favoring out of state workers... in reality.... more than 50% of the workers used by this contractor and more than 75% of the entire gigafactory workforce are nevada residents, demonstrating the project's strong commitment to nevada. now to some new developments in the search for two missing men out at donner lake. crews have recovered the bodies of 34-year- old lucas johnson and 33-year-old joshua patterson. the search started out as a rescue effort friday night with a 9-1-1 call about a capsized canoe on the lake. both men were found

life jackets. vandals in north lake tahoe have struck again. this time-- they damaged a statue of the virgin mary in king's beach. it happened back on valentine's day at the "lady of the lake church." vandals broke the head and fingers of the statue off. you may remember last september when vandals spray painted the statue and the plaque below it. investigators believe it's linked to a hate crime of church vandalism that spanned from last april to september... targeting churches in incline village, kings beach and tahoe city. members of the church fear... the crime may be escalating. lorena: and it just keeps on happening and i don't understand why. the church is raising money to buy a new statue. the placer county sheriff's office is working with the f-b-i to try to catch the vandals. they're offering a 1- thousand dollar reward for information leading to an arrest. spring break is almost here... and washoe county health officials aren't taking any chances when it comes to the zika virus. they're offering advice for people who might be traveling to zika infected countries. since february 5th, eight people have been tested for the zika virus in washoe county. none of those cases

the c-d-c and washoe county health district recommend pregnant women do not travel to the infected countries. but if you do, make sure you protect yourself from mosquito bites. they also recommend to use protection, since there have been numerous cases of zika spreading through sexual contact. ### nevada attorney general, adam laxalt is voicing opposition to president obama's e-p-a clean power plan. laxalt says states should have a right to decide pollution emission standards for themselves and he believes the e-p-a is exceeding it's statutory authority in efforts to implement the president's plan. some environmentalists criticized laxalt's stance saying he was choosing the interestes of out-of-state coal corporations over the health of communities and the climate. govenor brian sandoval weighed in saying that laxalt was quote "simply offering his legal opinion." a new overflow shelter for the homeless will be opening this week. the city of reno says the shelter will house homeless men and women when the community assistance center shelters are full.
