compared to 2012. this year's results, were also finalized within a few hours, instead of taking days. the nevada secretary of state's office-- said as of today, there were no reports of voter fraud in either the democratic, or republican caucuses. other states like colorado have been eyeing nevada's "first in the west" spot, but with this year's success-- it's unlikely another state will take the coveted spot. but-- republican national committee officials could always decide to grant the caucus spot to another state, before the 20-20 nominating process. ### our winter got off to a great start... ringing us above average snowfall... but now we're falling behind. a snow survey on the mount rose summit today revealed... a dry february put a big dent in our snowpack. around february first... our snowpack was 125- percent of normal... now it's only 96-percent of normal. hydrologists are hoping the high pressure ridge breaks... and brings us a miracle march. construction workers staged a protest outside the tesla gigafactory construction site, east of town this morning. they were crying foul over hiring practices at the site--picketing and urging workers to walk off the job. they say one of the subcontractors on the job--a new mexico firm--has been hiring out-of-state workers instead of qualified locals. this-- they charge-- is a violation of the spirit of the agreement between the state and tesla which traded more than a billion dollars in tax incentives for a promise to hire local workers. their complaint was with the subcontractor, but clearly the intent was to send a message to

james: "i just think it's wrong for tesla. i think it's a wrong business move for tesla to use our tax money and then hire out-of-state contractors to go out and hire out-of-state workers." tesla issued a statement today saying the dispute was with a third party contractor not them. they added that half the work force hired by the new mexico firm were from nevada as required by the agreement that brought tesla to northern nevada. in fact--they said--overall the project was more than meeting that goal--a statement backed up by the most recent state audit of the project which showed 74 percent of the nearly 900 workers on the job site were nevadans. a reno man is behind bars tonight for allegedly shooting another man inside a downtown casino. 38-year-old kiley grayson is charged with open murder. reno police say, he shot an off-duty employee just before midnight at siri's casino. police say-- grayson waited at the scene to be arrested. "there was some physical and verbal altercation between the

level of escalation. the victim kinda engaged with suspect initially, started to try to walk away when the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot him one single gunshot wound to the chest." police did not say why the fight happened. the casino is open to customers during the investigation. ## a skier died at squaw valley ski resort, after she suffered multiple injuries over the weekend. a 62-year-old woman was skiing in the "head- wall" area when she fell. she then slid down the slope, and hit some trees. she was wearing a helmet at the time. ### the search for a missing ski instructor ended tonight. placer county deputies say they found the body of 23-year-old, carson may. a search and rescue team found his body during a trainning session, near the sugar bowl. may was reported missing-- at the ski resort on january 15th. crews searched the area for four days... but could not find him. today, a crew went

last pinged... and found the ski instructor, under five feet of snow. ### if you live in unincorporated washoe county-- open burning season starts tomorrow. however, truckee meadow fire protection district, has some things you should know. amy ray, fire marshall, tmfpd, " residents with less than a quarter acre are not allowed to burn. pile sizes should be kept small, 2 to 3 feet. always have hoses and tools available so the fire does not escape. the burning hours are between 6 am, put it out by two pm and no smoke by three pm." reno and sparks do not allow open burning. however, you must have a burn permit... that's something new this year. permits are free-- and can be obtained at the main office or online... just go to kolo t-v dot com-- for more information. ### the knitting factory is closing..but you can see your favorite artists at the same spot. for a reno man today... but this 21st birthday isn't like most. kolo 8 news now's catherine van introduces us to bruce long-balla to explain. cat. as a leap year baby... bruce only gets to celebrate every four years... and he does it big. but the only birthday he's been looking forward to is his 21st . the booze... the parties...every thing you'd expect to see in a milestone birthday. bruce: geez i'm going to have a drink that's for sure. coming up shortly. bruce longballa turns 21 today... bruce: 21? i look a little older though don't i? just a little bit. bruce: now i can vote, i can drink, i can smoke, i can do anything i want. i'm 21! but i had to wait a long time for it. 84 years to be exact. he's a leap year baby born in 1921... so technically he's only 21 years old. and not many 21 year olds can say... they've lived through a world war... 13 presidencies and 63- year marriage. bruce: i'm lucky to have the

i do and a wife. kathleen: after 63 years of marriage to a 21 year old now, is a new experience. kathleen: i hear a lot of jokes. oh i can't say some of them. during the off years... he and his wife kathleen celebrate on the 28th of february... but on a leap go out big. bruce: you name it, we've done it. we've had some great parties. we've had em out on the street, we've had them at the hotel, we've had them too many of them. easy to get his friends to understand how four years works. know too many people who have them. special treatment. kathleen: on his 6th birthday, i found some beanie hats with the airplane propellers. we had one of those. and he says he's lucky and each birthday he a blessing. bruce: oh brother. i hope i just i think he will. his next big birthday is

the pack was without marqueze coleman,..plus cameron oliver, dj fenner and tyron criswell had all fouled out... it truly was a team effort, one that clinched a frest-round bye in the conference tournament... afterwards coach musselman said this is his favorite team that's he's ever coached... and it's been quite a ride for the players as well fenner: "this is definitely my favorite season in college for sure. and for him to say that, it really means a lot to us as players just to see how far we've come." foster: "i feel like this is number one that i've ever played on. coming from last year, winning nine games and we have already doubled that this year. and having two more games to play, and then postseason play. so i feel like we have done a tremendous job changing the culture here." the pack's final road game is this wednesday... they play at boise state... the broncos are fresh off an impressive win at san diego state. marqueze coleman is making strides in his rehab.... he's no longer on crutches, and is out of
