officials from the resort say the 62 year old woman was skiing in the 'head wall' area when she fell and slid through some trees they say she was wearing a helmet, but suffered multiple injuries. the body of a missing ski instructor who went missing at sugar bowl resort over a month ago-- has been found. carson may disappeared january 15th while skiing. rescuers found him yesterday under 5 feet of snow at the very spot where his cell phone last pinged. ben deci has more on the tragic end to the search. 5 grueling days of searching... in harsh winter conditions. all the while there was hope. but as that while turn into a long while, searchers were also realistic about how it might end. "be safe. travel with a buddy. use equipment when you can. you've gotta be thinking worse case scenario. but that shouldn't keep us from getting out there and making the most of an amazing sport." it's pretty clear now that 23-year-old ski instructor carson may got caught in an avalanche... he was last seen january 14th by his brother, who was skiing with him. despite the harsh conditions, scores of people helped in the search effort. "i could hear them on the radio, huffing and puffing...so i was hugly appreciative of their efforts." --tag-- again, it was rescue training, in the same area where carson's cellphone had last pinged... that lead to his recovery. mike may says that phone had been active for 30

that was ben deci reporting scary moments for passengers on an mesa, arizona to bellingham, washington. daily free press.... the plane was forced to land in elko yesterday afternoon because of an electrical odor inside the plane. a spokesperson for the airline says the plane landed safetly and no word yet on what triggered that electrical smell. tesla is speaking out following a protest at it's gigafactory at the reno-tahoe industrial center. local construction workers picketed yesterday-- upset with the hiring practices at the site. they say one of the subcontractors on the job--a new mexico firm--has been hiring out of state workers instead of qualified locals. they say this is a violation of the spirit of the agreement between the state and tesla which requires 50 percent of the work force be hired from within the state. james: "workers are upset and they're angry that the state of

us above average snowfall. but now we're falling behind. hydrologists are hoping that history repeats itself... in terms of a a miracle march. "in 2013 we were just done. it shut off after january 1st and we were done. but other years, even in 95 which was about our second biggest year, we had a significant dry spell in there about this time of year, and we thought we were done and then march came and we just got pounded." currently... our snowpack is at 96- percent of normal. which would be great news if we weren't trying to recover from a drought.
