in the arkansas primary. it's the eighth super tuesday state to wrap up voting. here's a live look at a hillary clinton campaign event in miami. she will speak later this evening about tonight's contests. these are the standings right now: hillary clinton wins fouustates. bernie sanders wins vermont. for the republicans: donald trump has four victories. but there are still a number of races considered "too close to call." polls will close in the largest state voting today: texas... in about 30 minutes.###

sandoval will support whoever is the republican nominee for president. today's statement came as the associated press surveyed republican governors and senators nationwide on whether they would vote for donald trump if he wins the party's nomination. nearly half of those who responded would not commit to backing him... which could foreshadow a major split in the party this fall. some said they would support a third-party bid over backing the polarizing businessman. sandoval has not formally endorsed a presidential candidate. it looks like nevada's "first in the west" status is safe. it's mainly due to the results of this year's republican caucus. the republican caucus drew about 75-thousand people. twice as many voters as in 2012. this year's results were also final within hours. although other western states are eyeing nevada's "first in the west" status... its unlikely another state will take the coveted spot. ### oscar delgado will seek another term on

the vice-mayor and ward three councilmember announced his re- election bid this morning. he was first elected to the council in 2012. delgado says his main focus over the past year has been hashtag neighborgood #neighborgood... an intiative to improve the quality of life in reno's neighborhoods.### a homeless shelter in reno is closed after thieves caused thousands of dollars in damage. they ripped out copper wires and plumbing, and left the overflow shelter on sutro street, a flooded mess. we sent kolo 8 news now's paul harris to find out-- what happens next. noah that overflow shelter served about 110 people. the city of reno and volunteers of america say they are trying to get another building as fast as they can. officials say the combined budget of reno, sparks and washoe county to fight homelessness is about two point one million dollars. so when the community... loses a shelter... it can be devastating. nats this is the closed

sutro street. it's closed due to theft. sandy isham, volunteers of america, "the copper wire was stolen; the gas meter was stolen. this rendered the building uninhabitable for our program. " paul diese says he routinely used the shelter. " place to sleep , rest your head stay warm." he is afraid for his friends. "it's tough; they are going to have to sleep on the streets or cubby somewhere, they have no place to go." volunteers of america estimates there are four thousand people who live in temporary housing or are homeless in washoe county. of that number one to two hundred people live on the street. "these are folks who would be typically spending the night out along the river during the summer but in the winter we do not want anyone freezing to death so we need to get them inside where it is warm." the reno sparks gospel mission is helping to fill in the gaps by taking in 60 people temporarily. the remaining people can stay in the warming rooms in the main shelter but they would

"even that is kinda tight too. small place it gets warm , all the body heat. really tough." the city of reno is working with voa to try and get a new building quickly as repairing the old building was not an option. "however unfortunately the owner did not want to make those repairs." diese says a new building can't come soon enough. 1:14-1:20 1:20-2:05 the shelves inside the store room of this building on the far end of north virginia are stocked with just about every medical device or supply you can think of--and some most probably didn't know existed--at least until they needed it. stanton: "wound care to diabetic testing to colostomy and ostomy supplies. we have some tube feeding supplies, some supplies that will help folks who have incontinence problems. all sorts of stuff." just about everything you see from the wheelchairs to diabetic supplies are expensive, often out of reach for those on fixed incomes or public assistance, the uninsured. and much of it is often not covered by insurance. for those, getting access to what they need here, can make a big difference. stanton: "some thing that's not covered through private insurance, some thing that are

medicaid. items and devices that people who are uninsured can't afford." some of it has to be purchased but... pearce: much of what you see has been used by someone then donated for use by someone else in need. recycling all of this, donating the crutches you used years ago when to broke your leg or grandma's wheel chair or cane can make a huge difference in some lives. stanton:"if we weren't here our clients would simply go without. we saw earlier an elderly lady that needed a wheel chair. we see this so often. people who come in without a transfer bench something that allows them to get in and out of a shower wouldn't be able to shower regularly, wouldn't be able to stay in their homes, wouldn't be able to receive care from family members rather than professional medical care. we think our services prevent hospitalizations, prevent emergency room visits and care that otherwise wouldn't be possible.">

pack... nevada has erupted to take a 14-2 lead in the 8th inning a wolf pack softball player has been honored for the second week in a row... this time it's mckenna isenberg, who was named the conference pitcher of the week... she went 2-0, with 19 strikeouts and a 0.93 era in a pair of games over the weekend... she pitched complete games in both wins... isenberg has started six games this season, going 5-and-1 with a 2.94 era... it's the first time in her career that she has earned this honor... the arizona diamondbacks have signed rickie weeks to a minor league deal... and he's expected to start the season here in triple-a reno... weeks has a ton of big league experience, and was an all-star back in 2011.... weeks has a .247 career batting average, 150 home runs and 439 runs batted in during his 12- year major league career.

a local girl battling leukemia had a special wish granted today . and that wasn't the only thing she celebrated. koral lattin of reno turned 18 today. she was surrounded by family and friends at the annual waffles and wishes fundraiser for the make a wish foundation. during the ceremony. the organization surprised koral by granting her wish to swim with dolphins. koral and her family will get to spend five days in the bahamas
