in the hours since the washington post released an 11-year-old video of trump engaged in a lewd conversation about women, al ong list of g-o-p heavyweights have either pulled their endorsements of trump or outright called for trum to withdraw. tonight, donald trump and hillary clinton face- to-face in the second of three presidential debates, this one a town- hall style face-off where voters will ask the majority of tonight's questions. some republicans are now looking for trump's running mate, mike pence ticket. but trump says despite the video.. he is staying in the race... telling the "wall street journal".. there is a "zero chance" he will quit. tonight's debate will be a "town hall style" debate.. in saint louis. and of course.. these are the comments trump made.. that has everyone talking. they were recorded during a 2005 interview with "access hollywood." he and then-host "billy bush"

taking a look at your national news... more than a dozen people were hurt.. when a long island rail road passenger train derailed yesterday.. in new york. the train ended up crashing into a work train.. near manhattan. rail services were stopped temporarily on the key transit line. about 600 passengers were onboard at the time of crash.. but none of the injuries were serious. the cause is under

the city of palm springs is mourning the loss of two of its officers... after they were shot and killed in the line of duty yesterday. police say the officers were responding to a domestic disturbance at a home.. where a suspect had barricaded himself inside. that suspect then opened fire on the officers. "officers lesley zerebny" and "jose gilbert vega" were killed. "officer vega" was a 35-year veteran of the force.. who was set to retire in december. he had offered to work overtime the day he was shot. "officer zerebny" was a new mom.. who had just returned to work.. after giving birth four months ago. another officer was also hurt.. but will be o-k. the suspect was taken into custody.. after a 12-hour standoff. "i feel like i'm awake in a nightmare right now." "my employees are broken, and if theres ever a time to pray for palm springs police,

palm springs police chief "bryan reyes" calling yesterday.. the worst day of his life... as he learned the news that two of his officers were killed. the community gathered at the "palm springs police memorial".. and left flowers.. candles.. and thoughtful messages.. for the fallen officers. the city's mayor called for these tragedies to stop.. saying that we need to look out for our officers.. who protect us. now to the latest on "hurricane matthew." the storm continues its deadly march up the east coast. two people were killed in georgia.. after they were found in their submerged car. four people have died in florida. thousands are still without power. "hurricane matthew" weakened as it hit south carolina. it has been downgraded to a category one storm.. with winds at 75-miles per hour. and while south carolina is dealing with the hurricane.. they are also fighting fires. multiple buildings were destroyed by the flames in

and no one was hurt. firefighters say the fire started in one building.. but high winds from the hurricane caused it to spread. and this sinkhole was left behind by "hurricane matthew" in florida. it tore apart the road.. near daytona beach. a nearby boardwalk was partly washed away into the ocean. "hurricane matthew" was a category-three hurricane.. when it hit florida. toward the southeastern coast... are stuck here in the valley. the red cross has opened a shelter for 43 people... after bus services were suspended to places in the path of hurricane matthew. families were headed to florida.. the carolinas.. and georgia. the red cross has given them food and a safe place to stay until the storm passes. if you're considering donating to help people affected by the storm.... a

the family who lives there now looking for a place to stay... but no one was hurt. no word on what caused that fire. today marks one year.. since the deadly shooting at "northern arizona university." 18-year-old "steven jones" was arrested.. after opening fire on a group of students.. after a fight in a parking lot. four students were shot. 20-year-old "colin brough".. was killed.
