cities. let's take you live on baltimore. hundreds are marching through the street they're trying to head toward the inner harbor right now. this protest happening in baltimore has been peaceful. at five:30, funeral arrangements have been announced for a show low police officer who was killed in the line of duty. >> officer darryne reed's serves are schedule forward

>> both will be open to the public. as show low comes together in mourning, there have been setbacks. >> reporter: a standoff with police. the man accused of shooting and killing officer darrin reed, an ex-con according to arizona corrections files, served time for a marijuana violation and endangerment. >> reporter: today a setback as the community comes to grips with the devastating loss. >> disturbing. everything is gone.

>> the smell has a plastic air to it. >> and what we believe happened is they placed the candles around the statue, probably thinking it was a bronze statue, and it's really styrofoam, fiberglass. >> reporter: now the city is working with the statue's artist to replace it in bronze. >> it's a landmark. it's an important part of our c flags at arizona state office buildings were at half-staff today. the mayor called reed a deeply humbling reminder of the sacrifices that police officers make to keep communities safe. a final count isn't in at this point, but it looks like prop 205 will not pass. many people in arizona can and do use medical marijuana for medical purposes. >> dave joins us live with how

conflicts with your doctor. >> some patients want to integrate marijuana with the other pain medications prescribed by their doctor. if you don't consult your doctor, you may have to sacrifice one for the other. fortunately there's a way you can fix that. >> reporter: ruth green says pain from her arthritis makes it hard to hold a book. she's been on meds for 8 years but they offer little relief. so she looked at medical marijuana. watched arguments for it on television, and i finally thought what the hell i'll try it! >> reporter: she spent nearly $300 to obtain a medical marijuana card. product she bought didn't help. she planned to go back to her regular pain meds. but she neglected to discuss pot with her doctor in advance. >> i don't see -- he's not involved in it, why do i need to talk to him about that? >> reporter: her doctor said he wouldn't prescribe narcotics as

>> here i am not wanting the medical marijuana and not coping, and not being able to have pain medication >> reporter: patients can return their card where it was issued. you won't get a refund but you will get proof you forfeited it, which you can then present to your pain doctor. she's learned a good lesson. >> i should have been in lengthy consultations with him. prior to apply further card. >> medical marijuana cards are good for a year at a point. information is on the back of the card. many doctors may have a similar policy to the one in this case but may not think to alert you about it. it is your responsibility to bring up the matter before you apply for the card. p. i. r. is getting ready to host the second to the last race of the season.

journey? virtual reality is now helping to bring the memorials to them. >> reporter: joseph cook has seen a lot. he flew dangerous missions in the army air corps ahead of the battle of okinawa. more than 70 years have passed, but the memories >> reporter: cook wanted to visit the national memorial in wash dc. but he's not healthy enough to make the trip. >> it's really sad in a way. we as a nation waited far too long to build a world war ii memorial. and we're losing our veterans at a rate of 500 a day nationwide. this is your lucky
