(sot annette hill/warrior's heart) "it's the part of the war you bring home, and you're still battling it" her specialist adam hill gibson, committed suicide in 2009 after two deployments to iraq. here at home, he faced another enemy; post-traumatic stress disorder and alcoholism. (sot annette hill/warrior's heart) "it's a hell you don't wake up from still fighting her own pain, hill is now clinical director at warrior's heart near san antonio. it's a private treatment facility for ptsd, traumatic brain injury, drug and alcohol addiction. it's the

maricopa county arson investigators are on scene right now-- to find out whether someone set this fire on purpose. let me walk you through what happened. investigators say the fire sparked outside this home-- apparently in a bunch of debis and trash. then the wind picks up that fire-- spreads it to this home. and if you can't tell just by looking at it-- this home is a total loss. this home is a total loss. the woman who lives there -- pretty fed up-- along with her neighbors-- about the fact she has lost everything now-- and it may be because of someone's careless-- maybe criminal actions. the sheriff's office tells me the deputy serving this area-- has responded to numerous calls of noise-- domestic violence-- arrested people here found to have

fielded complaints about the trash. about the trash. why is it believed this is arson and not just sparked by the elements and all the trash? neighbors tell deputies they heard arguing briefly before this fire sparked. the good news-- no one was hurt. live in mesa carissa live in mesa carissa planalp 3-tv. the arizona attorney who once defended now-accused serial killer todd kohl-hepp back in 1987... says he is stunned. stunned. allen bickart. who now practices in prescott.. defended kohlhepp in the 80s.. when he was accused of kidnapping and raping a 14- year-old girl in tempe. kohlhepp was 15 at the time.. and was convicted of kidnapping, and sent to prison for 15 years. bickart says he was stunned when he learned of the news out of south carolina.. and though he was troubled by kohlhepp's case back

new jersey.. has been released. the incident, in camden county, shows edmond brown getting pulled over by a police officer. the officer can be heard saying "do me a favor, shut the saying "do me a favor, shut the car off." but brown didn't .. and attempted to drive away, only to smash into a couple of cars on the street. brown can be seen trying to run away .. after being ordered to the ground. a struggle ensues .. and a gunshot is heard. brown was reportedly shot in the leg. some of the neighbors who saw the dashcam video say they don't feel sympathy for brown. he's being held on 100- thousand dollars bail. the officer .. is on administrative leave while they investigate. they investigate. tonight.. n-f-l players and doctors are calling on the league to reconsider its ban on marijuana use. many are worried about players taking too many narcotic painkillers. narcotic painkillers.

a goodyear woman says she tried... and lost. so, she turned to 3 on your side's gary harper ...to see if might be able to help out. if might be able to help out. harper at issue here... is a tree. a tree that happens to be owned and maintained by the city of goodyear. the woman in tonight's 3 on your side says that tree damaged her property...so, why won't the city pay up? take a drive through any goodyear neighborhood, and chances are, you'll find a lot of streets lined with trees. and many of those trees are maintained by the city. but annie kudray says one city tree... similiar to this one... has put her family in a financial bind. 1:32 so, this is the stump of the tree that fell and broke my wall." annie is a goodyear homeowner and says about three months ago, a big palo verde tree that used to be planted here and maintained by the city... came crashing down during a storm. 5:02 "all of the sudden we heard

this big thud." you're looking at photos that she snapped the night it happened. as you can see, the city tree knocked down part of her wall that seperates her backyard from city property. it also damaged a cactus that she had. but, annie says the city of goodyear won't pay for any of the damage. annie says she can't believe the city of goodyear is refusing to pay for the damage to her wall. she says if her tree caused damaged to city owned property, she would have received a bill by now." annie says she's complained for the past two years about the tree getting out of control and becoming a hazard. in fact, she says everytime city employees would trim trees in the neighborhood.. . she would ask them to thin out the tree next to her property even more because it was becoming top- heavy and could damage her property. but she says her requests always got the same response
