at sky harbor, a terminal was shut down because of a security scare. they said they had a passenger with a suspicious carry on bag board the plane. the passenger was interviewed and crews inspected the bag. a valley man facing charges for pointing a laser at planes. phoenix police said they were able to track down the laser strikes and arrested this man. they caught him in the act and he now faces a hefty fine and possible jail time. the show low police officer

me 30 degrees and relative humidity, 14%. winds have died down but a dry front will move through and drop the temperatures. you can see tomorrow mornings, waking up to this, mostly clear and then look at futurecast, continue to see clear conditions and temperatures below freezing and we'll be in the 60s and then tomorrow, still clear conditions but by and the front takes shape. and then once this front passes on by, the temperature will drop, highs almost 16 degrees by thursday. overnight lows tomorrow, getting down to 60 degrees and 27 in flagstaff and 52 in sedona. and temperatures in the 50s for the neighbors down south and your day in detail. warm for hikers but not bad.

chandler mother killed while crossing the street. >> tonight, the driver is out of jail. yes, a lot of folks in this east valley neighborhood still trying to come to grips with the horrible events of saturday evening. it was about 5:40, a young mom and two small children crossing the intersection here at ray and ponderosa and a pickup truck runs a red light and now identified as 35-year-old pamela hasslebacker. later pronounced dead at hospital and her two small children are in critical condition this evening. the driver of the pickup truck identified at 39-year-old william eperlynn.
