alabama, virginia is at least seven in each state. they crushed school buses and demolished buildings, piles of rubble in virginia used to be people's homes some of the storm victims pick through ruins others look on in total disbelief. amid-devastation there are signs of life. three tiny puppies just weeks old survived the storm in north carolina. the woman they belonged to said she lost everything else. two of them are named lucky and miracle. in 30 minutes people will gather in san francisco to mark the moment, 105 years ago when that earthquake hit here in san francisco. the quake in 1906 triggered a catastrophic fire that destroyed much of the city the mountain, there thereby a wreath laying dedicated to the recent victims in japan.

14th homicide this year. almost 4:38 a.m. on monday. pg&e facing a new deadline to answer questions from state regulators about its record keeping practices over the past few decades public utilities commission is investigating whether faulty record keeping contributed to last year's deadly pipeline explosion. ntsb has found the 54-year-old pipeline that ruptured has a seam along its length contrary to pg&e computerized records. walls are coming down on mofette field's hanger one. they will continue dismantling panels. project will begin on the south side of the building the long term plan is to restore the blimp hanger there. feds launch a nationwide tour in response to a string of problems involving air traffic
