>> deputies say they found sierra lamar purse not fair, not far from herself and was located. search teams picked up more possible evidence and they took some items from the home. the purse was found on sunday but it took a few days to confirm if it was hers >> inside the bag with some of sears closing. a pair of pants in a t-shirt, neatly folded and put inside the bag. we don't know if those were the clothes that she was wearing or if those were clothes that she had inside the bag at the time >> sierra was last seen a week ago this time leaving home to go to school. the search for missing mother from gilroy has come to a sad end. the body of 52 world martha cloutier as was found along pacheco pass highway. investigators say she had been sought. she was reported missing last week around the time her adult son killed his 11 year-old sister before taking his own

life. >> emergency crews raced into the water to rescue a man after his boat flipped over into san francisco bay. he was pulled out of the water last night near pier 70. they spotted him still clinging to his vessel. fortunately paramedics transported into a marina. his condition is unknown. >> officer shot and killed it wanted parolee in antioch. they say he was on parole for possession of stolen property. they tried to pull over his vehicle, he had a female passenger in the car. police say the detectives felt their lives were in danger when they shot at the vehicle but it is not clear why. a teenager who lives nearby say he saw the other man shoot first after refusing orders to get out of his car >> they give him many mornings telling them to put their hands up and they gave them more

warnings and he shot back again and then they shot him >> neither officer was hurt and a female passenger was also ok. >> the suspended sheriff of san francisco says he is ready to fight for his job. ross mirkarimi was at an orientation session yesterday. san francisco mayor ed lee charged him with official misconduct earlier this week. he responded to a question about whether the charges are " piling on " >> to high think piling on was weeks ago. >> san francisco's ethics commission is set to hold a hearing on the charge next month. the case will then go to the board of supervisors which will decide whether to permanently remove mirkarimi as the share >> a local newspaper says newly obtained video shows a drug deal

involving two former law enforcement officials. the chronicle of paint the video and posted it. the video was reportedly shot in february of last year by a government informant who hid the small camera in a key chain. prosecutors say the men making the deal are the former head of contra costa counties anti-drug task force and christopher butler, a former police commander current private eye. welsh and butler have already been indicted in federal court on charges of trafficking drugs confiscated in police seizures. both men have pleaded not guilty and are awaiting trial >> a man suspected in dozens of burglaries' is back behind bars in san francisco. police are showing off a pile of valuables they think he stole

monday but more stormy weather is expected next week. >> once again we will enjoy the dry traffic conditions. they're not too many problems out there right now. north and southbound 101 looking pretty good this morning. we do have a high winds advisory issued by chp. we only have one for the bay bridge this morning. they canceled an earlier one for the san mateo bridge. all across the deck moving out of a word across foster city. you'll find various lands blocked, just scheduled to about 5:00 this morning near the high street exit. not much slowing because of it and i'm not seeing any major road work in antioch. once you get closer to pittsburg the speeds really improve.

>> i just spoke to san francisco police officers who say that this part of brotherhood way will be closed for a couple of hours. the fire department just arrived on scene. police are currently investigating what happened in the car crash. we hear right now is is a single car crash that happened around 2:40 a.m.. the car is still out here with the front part of it completely smashed in. the bumper is about 20 ft. away from where the car is. we do know there were three mails inside were all ejected from the car. two of them have life- threatening injuries and one with back and head trauma. san francisco police will be investigating and they are not sure if alcohol was involved or if any of the passengers were wearing seat belts. we still don't know if any other cars were involved but they do believe it had something to do with a high-speed chase.

we spoke to police officers a few moments ago said this part of brotherhood way will be closed for a couple of hours and that is all the information we have so far but we will be sure to update you >> there is a growing number of rallies calling for the arrest of a florida man accused of fatally shooting a teenager. the controversy has prompted the police chief to temporarily step aside. protesters chanted for justice as thousands packed a florida park demanding action for an unarmed teenager killed by a neighborhood watchmen. they're calling for the prosecution of george zimmerman who claims he shot martin in self-defense. the 17 year-old was killed while visiting his family last month.

a front might just call which will mean all of this moisture will pump across the bay area for the better part of the weekend. rainfall estimates over the next 48 hours, probably one or 2 in. of rainfall. we could see more than that over the santa cruz mountains. plan on a soggy weekend indeed. a lot of fifties today with low sixties in the south bay. inside the day we will see some fifties and even 60 degrees in oakland. the weekend will be a wet one. especially on saturday, the front will stall so showers are likely to continue into sunday. a brief break on monday but right back into the rain tuesday and wednesday. >> right now is pretty quiet on

the roadways. usually friday morning's take awhile to get going and that seems to be the case so far. we want to show you this live traffic center coming out of the altamont pass, still in the green this morning. everything is pretty much at top speed. we do have a high wind advisory for the brave bridge tomorrow, this morning. you're pretty much good to go. very quiet up and down the bay area bridges. you will find some road work on northbound 880 just north of the coliseum, closer to the high street exit. it turns out there is some road work still ongoing in antioch in the westbound lanes of highway 4. no fool roadway closures like

tuition. students would need to be residents of california and keep a minimum grade point average of 2.7 or perform 70 hours of community service each year. it would be paid for by higher income tax on wealthy californians >> researchers are working on a test to warn you of an impending heart attack. they found that heart attack patients have elevated levels of a certain type of cell. the next that is to learn how far ahead of a heart attack those cells might appear. the study is in the journal of science translation of medicine. a new studies suggest that red meat makes you happy. scientists found that women who ate less than the recommended amount of beef were twice as likely to be diagnosed with depression and anxiety. they did not find a similar link between other forms of protein >> the oakland zoo is showing off its tiny new editions.
