are blocked off. police are confirming that they will be investigating a homicide. the found an adult male pronounced dead on the scene at the intersection of main and harrison and they still will be looking into it. we're learning more details as we are here. all we know at this point is they're calling this a homicide, they are investigating it and anyone with any more information should contact san francisco police. >> there could be the first new clues in that search for sierra lamar since right after the teenager disappeared two weeks ago. a volunteer found suspicious items not far from her home. santa clara county authorities collected a box labeled handcuffs that had to use condoms and side that were found

>> the california gray whale trapped in fishing year is finally free this morning. it was spotted on wednesday off the coast of redondo beach. rescuers track the young whale using buoy's attached to its tail. they were able to cut the mammal free with a knife after several attempts yesterday. the whale swam away unharmed. an avid hiker with a tail that even his wife says she could hardly believe. >> he says a mountain lion attacked him and in a bear stepped in to save his life. he says he was hiking on monday when he came across a mother bear and to avert cubs and as he turned to leave the area the mountain lion pounced on him. he says as he tried to fight off a mountain lion the bears' strong spring into action >> i saw something coming from the left and it was a bear

this is where the incident happened, the east shore freeway actually looks pretty good. still about an 18 minute drive time from the perkiness bridge down to the macarthur maze. we have a reporter on the scene of a homicide investigation south of market. police activity, the streets are blocked off and main street is shut down in both corrections between harrison and bryant street. there also closures on bryant street itself so you will need to use the tors. in the meantime, a live look at the san mateo bridge. this is westbound 92. it looks ok they're hand coming off a high rise. here is a live look at 883 oakland. north and southbound actually looks pretty good. mass transit, so far everything

problem. >> best buy is downsizing. it says it will close 50 of its big box stores by the end of next year the company has struggled to compete with online retailers like amazon. sears holdings is considering selling its lands and brand as part of the retailer's plan to raise as much as $2 billion. the report comes weeks after sears reported a massive loss and unveiled a new turnaround plan. sears holdings also owns kmart, kenmore and craftsman >> how high will they go, the big question americans are asking every day when they drive to fill up their cars at the gas station. yesterday president obama gave a final push for his initiative to end subsidies to the country's biggest oil companies
