that served as a meeting point during the 1906 earthquake and every year since the survivors returned to honor the great quake or the time it hit. another tradition is the gilding of the fire hydrant which will be going on today at the lauras park. that hydrant is known as the one that saved the mission district when they banded together to fight the deadly flames that threatened their neighborhood. it is known as one of the worst national disasters in the nation's history, the worst destruction coming from the fires that the earthquake ignited. half the city's population were left homeless. the images you see here were burned into the survivors minds. the 106 commemoration is set to kick off with mayor ed lee and the fire chief who will be here to kick off today's celebrations.

rain showers for us. so far there in northern california. i pressure is making a home in the bay area for the next several days. we don't have much rain in the media forecasts. these temperatures are not too bad, 73 in santa clara. pretty warm in some of the inland spots. overall, not too bad, at or even slightly above average by one to five degrees. here is your forecast over the next several days. by friday and saturday we warm up into the upper 80s. on the back end of the weekend we will see a slight cooling trend but not much. monday and tuesday we go back to the low to mid 70's.

no rain drops in the 7 day forecast. we will have more weather is coming up. >> so far, not a bad commute. really the only thing we need to look out for his roadwork. we had some early morning road work along the golden gate bridge. traffic looks clearer all the way out of the marin county for the most part. lots of green so far on the sensors. elsewhere, 80 through both directions, no delays and everything looks good as you work towards the maze. there are wrapping up construction on the south side of 80. it should have all of it reopened in the next 10 minutes so things should be looking a lot better their but northbound is still a nice ride.

elsewhere we had overnight road work that they just wrapped up and in the last few minutes, and things are clear in both directions. roadwork in affect three eastbound highway 4. this is a full freeway closure as well as on and off ramps and that area. they hope to have things wrapped up by 5:00. we're starting to see delays on the west downside as well. elsewhere, the dumbarton bridge might wrap up construction in the next 10 minutes. no delays right now, we saw lots of green on the sensors. 14 minutes ago between 811 and no delays a long 11. no construction projects

through the south bay right now. >> the man who took off all his clothes to protest airport security ended up missing his flight to san jose. other passengers got out their cameras and took these photos. officers arrested him when he refused to put his clothing back on before he got on the flight. he says the protests were aimed at the screeners who were harassing him. the remaining jackson five brothers are back on tour this summer. >> they will stop in 27 cities beginning in june. they say they will perform hits from the jackson five and also
