freed from jail, the man accused of killing an unarmed florida teenager is released. >> temperatures cooling down and we could see some rain. >> so far so good this morning across the golden gate bridge. coming up, it looked at other. bridges and mass transit. >> three weeks after a deadly shooting rampage on campus, an east bay university is reopening. >> kate is in oakland where oikos university is sending some students to a different campus. >> that is exactly right but not all students will be returning to school at all but we will get to that in just a moment. that three weeks is still fresh in a lot of people's minds and a memorial still stands. the shooting was one of the worst in california campus massacres that left seven people

dead, six students, one receptionist, and since the crime tape has been lifted the ban heart work trying to rid the scars of the shooting. bulls were created by suspect what i'll go who has been charged with seven counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder. cbs five got an exclusive interview with go as he apologized for the shootings. the school's president says while most will come back to this campus, some students have decided not to return to oikos. we have one student who was listed on court documents as one of the attempted murder victims and she said she will not be returning to camp this at all. >> the oikos university website

safety of his fellow co-workers, was able to wrestle the gun from the suspect who fled on foot. without anyone getting hurt >> police say they do not usually recommend trying to stop an armed robber >> today, the san francisco ethics commission will begin hearings to see if misconduct charges against ross mirkarimi will stand. he is trying to get his job back as the san francisco sheriff after being suspended to fall after pleading guilty to false imprisonment. the commission's recommendation after the hearings will be more about ethics and law >> these are legal in the sense of being connected to the city charter, their political but not in a bad way. these are people who will be reporting to the elected officials and it is up to the elected officials to make that ultimate decision >> after the hearings which

could take several weeks, the ethics commission will send its recommendations to the board of supervisors. the ethics commission is a five member panel and each person is appointed. the commission serves the city through education and enforcement of ethics laws. in this case its duty is to investigate an ethics complaint. a memo suggests that pg&e was aware of according to the san francisco chronicle. the newspaper says the utility recently turned a memo over to state regulators. it refers to a prior leak detected as far back as 1988. a reporter says be genius inspectors could not find the leak but they found a likely source. >> it was incomplete, and it was basically a warning sign of what

they should have been looking for elsewhere >> pg&e spokesperson david eisenhower responded to cbs five by e-mail. in part he says nothing about the 1988 leak or the material failure report suggested the need to ponder a test any portion of the line. >> the man facing charges in the shooting death of florida teenager trayvon martin is out of jail this morning. george zimmerman was released on $150,000 bond pending his trial. as randall kingston reports, zimmerman whereabouts are being kept secret. >> george zimmerman walk out of the seminal county jail around midnight, not looking at cameras as he followed a man in twin white vehicle to await trial for the death of trayvon martin. as attorney says he will not reveal where he will go because of safety concerns
