u-v that was wanted in connection with a weapons brandishing case. initially saw that s-u-v in the area of king and story road. when the officers tried to stop the vehicle that's when he headed north on interstate 680. police did find that vehicle a short time later. during the search for one of the people inside the vehicle officers fired weapon at the suspect who was not injured and was taken into custody. no other suspects were found. san jose police are asking anyone with any information to give them a call. we are live in san jose. >> police in oakland are looking into possible home invasion robbery that sent one man to the hospital. two men robbed a home just after midnight. the victim was shot in the

chest and there is no word on his condition. police are still trying to track down suspects and determine what was taken from the home >> investigators are looking into a shooting in east oakland that wounded a police officer and left a suspect dead. it happened yesterday morning near 90th avenue and birch tree. they say two officers approached three people and one of them ran off the officer followed them. >> i just heard the shots so i shot my windows because i'm afraid somebody will run from the police and run and to my house >> the suspect later died at a hospital and the officer is expected to recover >> in a video released by al qaeda and 70 year-old says he will be killed unless certain demands are met. he was kidnapped last august from his home in pakistan. al qaeda has demanded a an end

mother and son in alamo. the fire quickly spread into some brush from the home where it started but a father and son to live next door rushed to help. all the man from the burning home and that man said his mother was still inside. they found her apparently unaware of the fire >> at that point the flames were very high and then my dad said you have to go >> i picked her up and carried her out >> while they were saving their neighbors, embers started small fires on their roof that were put out. the fire is still under investigation. it may have been started by hot coal being dumped into a plastic container. still no word on what started a condominium fire. the fire displace six people destroying one unit and damaging several others. investigators say the cause appears to be accidental. one firefighter was transported to hospital for treatment of a medical complaint.

outside and show you what conditions are like out there. elsewhere we're following a couple of different accidents including this one on 280. our sensors are actually picking up a little bit of slowing in the area. this is the second accident involving a deer this morning. a few slow speeds just under 25 m.p.h.. roadwork might slow you down in the east bay. in the meantime the main lines on the freeway actually look ok. everything looks pretty good cross that stretch but the 23rd avenue off ramp is shut down. to the south bay, coming up 101 we have an accident that has already been cleared to the
