selling retail prices. bleachers going for $230. the best seats were about $1,040. again, those were retail prices. that's part of the advanced sale they had earlier so stubhub is probably the best bet. that's what a giants representative told me yesterday. now, if you missed out on the game last night and highlights or team photos or want to score team gear the best place is on our website, cbssf.com. we're live at at&t park. cate caugiran, cbs 5. >> thank you. game one of the world series set to go wednesday night at at&t park. giants, tigers, game time first pitch 5:07. almost as improbable as winning six straight elimination games, the weather. and as lawrence karnow shows us, that storm was like a fastball. it was aimed at the ballpark right down the middle. >> what a night, huh, lawrence. >> yeah, that was an incredible night. i'm not going to be sleeping for a long time. >> i hear ya. >> but i'm happy about it. exhausted today because i

watched the debate, of course, too, which was on channel 5. >> channel switching. >> but the game was something else with that rain coming through there, looks like we're not done with the rain yet. that rain line shifted southward now into the south bay you can see some good cells moving in that direction now so if you are getting up there you have some rain coming down now but this is going to start to scoot out of town. shouldn't really affect the commute that much if you are sleeping a little longer. this is going to move out but there's a chance of more scattered showers throughout the day today although i think it's going to be hit and miss. you can see off the coastline a lot of that moisture sweeping onshore as the trough locked in along the west coast but a more significant band of rainfall is expected to move in later on tonight into tomorrow morning. numbers a little chilly now in the 40s and 50s if you are headed outside. by the afternoon we are going to keep those temperatures cool and brisk outside. only in the 60s and a slight chance of some scattered showers. more on your weather coming up. let's check the roads with gianna. >> thank you very much. and good morning. so far not too bad on the roads right now. here's a live look at the bay bridge toll plaza.

agenda. >> reporter: viewers seemed to respond to the president. a cbs news snap poll of the debate shows 53% of uncommitted voters believed the president won. >> you saw a very strong president, a strong and steady president with a clear vision. you had an unsteady romney. >> reporter: romney's best score came on the issue of china. >> i want a great relationship are china. china can be our partner. but that doesn't mean they can just roll all over us and steal our jobs on an unfair basis. >> reporter: even on that issue romney only managed to tie president obama. >> perhaps the most memorable line of the night came when president obama and mitt romney were debating cuts to the military budget. >> our navy is smaller now than anytime since 1917. the navy said they needed 313 ships to carry out their mission. we're now down to 285. >> governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonettes because the nature of our military has changed. >> reporter: republicans say the president was

having no proof that some of its pipes running through bay area cities were actually inspected. and cbs 5 reporter elissa harrington is in martinez. so elissa, that's one of the cities where the pipes were deemed safe but never actually tested? >> reporter: well, that's right. these lines ran through some cities in the east bay and also in san jose. and according to the "san francisco chronicle," pg&e discovered this problem while reviewing the inspection history of a pipeline that was running under martinez. they found no records to confirm that the mile-long section had been fully inspected. the review uncovered three other lines that may have also missed inspection even though company employees told regulators that they had been checked. here's where they are. we're talking about 4.5 miles of at risk natural gas lines in martinez, in newark, in fremont, and in san jose. these four lines are at risk of corrosion. according to federal law, pg&e had to inspect these by 2007.
4:40 am
a pg&e spokesman told the "chronicle" that recordkeeping just isn't what it should have been. poor records is part of what led to the 2010 pipeline blast in san bruno. who can forget that? documents show that pg&e never conducted the type of inspection that might have detected a problem. the explosion killed eight people and destroyed almost 40 homes. pg&e gave the "chronicle" this statement about the latest discovery of the four lines in the east bay in san jose. they say "pg&e took steps to ensure that this issue does not exist elsewhere in the system or occur again. pg&e believes this issue does not exist elsewhere in the system." the company also said that it plans to inspect all of these lines by the end of the year. in concord, elissa harrington, cbs 5. some san bruno residents want the california public utilities commission president removed from office saying the commission under michael peevey failed to keep the public safe. a petition with more than 200 signatures called for his removal. san bruno city council will
