officer greg birkhead: a large number of our calls are domestic abuse domestic violence. it escalates to the point that one person will assault the other person and it can escalate from anything from a physical beating to where they'll actually grab a knife or a gun. things really get out of hand. dispatch: 911. woman: i've got to have the police here at mederman right away. what's the problem, ma'am?

his way in the house. she was on the phone trying to call us and he came over to attack her and she pulled the gun and threatened to kill him. is her eye bruised? i don't see any obvious marks. she said he stabbed her before. when we got out here he was in the street yelling at her. she was standing over by where your car is yelling at him and she had the weapon in her pocket. i don't know what you want to do. their story's conflicting. i don't know if you want to get her for the aggravated assault under domestic abuse. take them both for domestic abuse.get a chance to look at her eye. i'll let you look at her eye and then we'll see what you want to do on that. you can talk to her, see how she reacts. hey, he hit you in the eye? yes, sir.

see her. she's fixing to get off. dude comes back, leans on the back of my car. then he walks on the other side of the car. he set here doing this. he had the bottle in his hand. so he starts getting belligerent. i said, "go down the road." i walk him all the way to the sign there and he almost fumbles over the highway sign. he gets the bottle like this. i said, "go home." the dude made sort of an advancement. we get to the red light. i say, "go on, man." i was going to get him away. you know they'll throw ( bleep ). he turns around quick, had the bottle. that was when i flapped the baton out. he hit me with his elbow. i went to hit him on the back of the neck. the first one caught him on the face. the second one caught him on the back of the neck. come on, let's go.

really the three suspects were juveniles and the suspect is that was shot is expected to survive. we will bring you the latest as it develops and we will bring you the latest to get details about this case. live in oakland, i am paul chambers, ktvu channel 2 morning news. police in gilroy killed one person an injured another. it happened on chestnut street on east 7th street. the they found two people who died at the hospital. one is expected to survive and no other information has been released. we have wet weather which is being reported around the area. this was shot at 4:00 in oakland and the rain is expected to continue throughout the morning
