going to have to get used to. but i still think in retrospect. we'll look back it and just be so proud. >> like coach said they played better than us tonight they deserve to go on. at the end i shook hands with andrew harrison and he said you're a bad bad boy. i told him the same. >> shockers lose for the first sometime since last year's final 4. it comes down to the final seconds of the game and take me through it. >> it was a magnificent game first of all. you get witchita state who inbound the ball 8.2. you know at that point it's really easy to second guess, but the fact is it took them five seconds to put the ball on the frontcourt. let them go. you're probably going to end up getting some kinds of a shot or get it to early and see if he can make a play. 3.2 seconds left in it. you don't have a whole lot of time here. but i thought on the half court i thought witchita state

executed well and kentucky. stop it here. here's the ball. i think the guy they had to get it to was early. and early is right there and they back screen for him. if you stop that -- watch early. stop it right there. now to me, that play was available. if early kept going he may have gotten a layup. now you give condition, stop it again. now you give harrison right there all the credit because he switched on baker. now kentucky has got pretty good court balance. now they contest van fleet he takes a tough shot. so, the harrison since twins did a good job of kind of switching up. baker they wanted to go to, but you know if i'm witchita state i think i'm going put it in early's hands. he's 12 out of 17. had 31 for the game. only missed five shots and let him try to win the game. van fleet is a very good three-

point shooter in his own right. >> he didn't have a good game. >> he did not. >> early might have been the hot hand to go to. but how about the midwest bracket now in the sweet 16. louisville kentucky. thiss the coaching matchup's dream. >> it is. it's going to be a great game right there louisville and kentucky. >> does it look like a championship game right there? >> it does. kentucky as i said they lost 10 games on the year. preseason number one. it's a redemption game for john calipari. >> i don't think there is an edge i really don't. i think kentucky has got more talent than anybody in the country. i mean, man foreman. but for man. you have to love the way the harrison twins played today. both aaron and an drew they controlled the game they scored. they were just elite players.

5:07 pm
there was maybe a half a second or more that should have elapsed. and at that point it looked like the dribbler the guy bringing the ball up the floor was in rhythm. >> pretty hard to call a time out one second to go in the game. had about a 35, 40er. he's had a good look. i was surprised by the time out. officials were not a hundred percent clear at least in my view whether they said the clock started late or the time out was taken when the clock went to zero. >> i don't think there was an official claire fix at the end of the game. >> regardless even if they put time on the clock. they probably would have put maybe .2 or .3 and as you know with .3 or less you can't even grab the ball and shoot it. you have to tip it. so, north carolina really didn't have much of a shot at that point. >> now let's look ahead to iowa state uconn. i

it wouldn't be denied that's for sure. but i won't over play guise or do anything to try to keep that position as is evidenced by tonight. >> here's the bracket in the western conference. if the season ended today dan the spurs are the number one seed the warriors would be the 6th seed and face the clippers. >> that's a tough matchup for the warriors. i think the clippers are really good they are playing well. talk about san antonio and popovich he's unbelievable. they pick up guys. you love the way splitter has kind of developed his game picked up patty mills, they picked up marco bell nell he. >> tony parker plays and he's tough as nails. >> tony parker goes to the rim as well as anybody. >> they find a way to win. they rest guys. >> i don't know if the other team takes a deep breath. probably not. but every time he seems to rest a couple of players they win. popovich is playing it smart.

you know, the difficulty in the nba schedule the players have to turn it around. especially if you have players like duncan. i can afford to rest the guys and go into oracle and still win a game. splitter 17 points 14 rebounds parker had 20 and a guy named ginobili had 15. >> he's pretty good. patty mills has been good. >> clippers seem to be a different team this years. >> sure. >> does one coach make a difference? >> yeah it does. if you get the right guy in there which obviously the clippers do when you challenge guys that's what happened. >> all a sudden the keep clippers are playing great basketball. >> a year ago people said that's not a bad matchup for the warriors. but they are not saying that this time around. >> dock said he told a lot of guys told most of the team you haven't accomplished anything. so, you know, don't get your chest out. chris paul's a great player but you haven't won anything. so, i think that got everybody's attention and they are playing good. i mean doc rivers is one of the
