morning." >> great to be here, and we have great news as you wake up in the west west an american that was held prisoner is back this morning. he is praising the negotiators who worked to bring him home. >> the group released curtis over the weekend, he is speaking to reporters this hour. days after isis murdered james foley. our boston station, wbz is in cambridge, massachusetts where curtis is staying david, good morning. >> reporter: good morning and good morning to our viewers in the west. american, peter theo curtis finally returned to boston after two years in captain activity. the 45-year-old journalist arrived in newark airport in new jersey and connect to logan international airport in boston where he reunited with his mother. in a statement released by

>> reporter: good morning, as authorities here continue to investigate the identity of the british man believed to be involved with foley's investigation. they are looking for ways to crack down on the larger problem of the hundreds of young british men that have leaving to join the isis group. police announced an initiative to try to remove extreemist material on the internet. they are being recruit bid other young fighters that post photos on twitter, of young man brandishing machine guns and using social media to glamorize the isis lifestyle. two of the men had baudought jihadist for dummies.

buffet, why is he working with this deal? >> he feels they are good business people and he feels they can make money. so he is providing money to make it happen. it's an investment dole. >> he is a capitalist before he is a patriot, it's been said. >> he is a capitalist first. no doubt. >> why is he being criticized for many people it makes good business sense. >> we have a problem with our corporate tax code and it's widely agreed. american companies are moving off shore to reduce the tax bill. i'm not sure this is the case in the burger king deal. there's on other reasons to go. but it will reduce their tax bill, in other cases you have company buying smaller companies with a lower tax rate, so, there's a serious problem that needs to be addressed in washington and this is another symptom of it. >> and there's a potential backlash here right? the facebook page is complaining they are leaving the country.

are open this morning. engineers checked good wednesday morning, everyone. it's 7:26. i'm frank mallicoat. here's what's happening around the bay area. most schools in napa valley unified are open once again this morning. engineers checked the schools out said they are all safe except one stone bridge charter. that was right near the epicenter. that will be closed until next week. san francisco woman known for trying to sneak on board passenger planes arrested again. police at sky harbor airport in phoenix say this woman, marilyn hartman, loitering at a security checkpoint was arrested. earlier this month she got on a plane in san jose international airport. she was sentenced to 177 days in jail but was released after a few days served because of overcrowding. stay with us. traffic and weather in just a moment.

in the california senate would change the definition of con isn't it. cbs news analyst rickykki klieman is with us to bring us up to date on exactly what this means. we all know what no means no means. what does yes means yes mean? >> it's an affirmative action on the part of the person who believes they're being sexually advanced upon. exclusively a woman, but it could also be a man. what happens here is the yes must be affirmative, unambiguous, and indeed conscious. >> with each other,ry rikki? >> in essence, yes. >> you enforce that how? >> that's the problem. on the one side look we like the idea that we're out there protecting women. we like what has happened, learning from the department of education that said 55 schools absolutely do not investigate, do not have the appropriate sexual assault policies in

motion. so we're trying to protect women. on the other side of that is how do you enforce it. we're talking about disciplinary hearings at a school where we're looking at men and women, obviously where there's alcohol or drugs involved, those are the women who really need the protection here. >> this shifts the burden though, doesn't it rikki? it's not about saying no now. man has to get a yes. >> a man has to get a yes and that's part of the problem. also what happens at the disciplinary hearings is the standard of proof is. of the preponder ererance of the evidence. we want to protect williamomen. at the same time we want to look at the rights of women.

good morning, it's 8:55. i'm michelle griego. time for some news headlines. students in napa are headed back to school today. crews spent the morning cleaning up debris from sunday's quake. schools have become a drop-off point for debris. stone bridge charter near the epicenter will be closed until next week. bart is back in full operation after big problems near the pleasant hill station. a wheel somehow fell off a train and damaged the tracks yesterday evening on the pittsburg-bay point line. repair work wrapped up early this morning. san francisco police are looking for the people involved in a shootout near the powell street bart station. it happened just before 8:00 last night. one person was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. now here's lawrence. >> we are going to start
