>> good evening, the i am vinita nair. we begin tonight with a new online threat targeting u.s. military servicemen and women. the terror group isis posted a "hit list" it says that includes the names, photos and addresses of 100 u.s. military personnel in the air force navy and army. the group is upperring its followers in the u.s. to hunt them down. julianna goldman has the latest from washington. >> the video comes from the islamic state hacking division it was released on social media and encourages isis supporters to kill those who are listed. >> the terror group claims in the video that the information was obtained by hacking military databases, but the pentagon says it believes the information was publicly available online from news articles and even its own reports about the campaign against isis. the marine corps and air force say they are making sure everyone named in the video is notified, military branches are asking service members to review their online footprint and to make sure privacy set ticks on

social media accounts limit the amount of personal information available. to the obama administration says the american led military operation has blunted the terror group's momentum in iraq and syria, but it is still grappling with how to stop the isis propaganda machine on fox news sunday cia director john brennan says isis is spreading its ideology throughout the region. >> we see what is happening in other countries and these franchises that are growing up in libya and other areas, they have claimed responsibility for attacks in tunisia and yemen, this is something that is clearly not restricted to iraq and syria so we cannot relent, we have to continue working with our partners in the region. >> military officials have been warning service members for some time to be careful about what they post online, so they don't become targets, especially as isis continues to call for lone wolf attacks. >> vinita. >> nair: vinita nair in dc tonight, thank you. >> an emergency meeting tonight, the united nations security

>> authorities are still trying to determine the motive behind a violent machete attack at a new orleans international airport, it started in a security line friday night and ended when a suspect was shot multiple times. as don dahler reports the arsenal found in the suspect's luggage has led to more questions. >> 63-year-old richard white came to the louis armstrong airport armed with wasp spray and a machete, he launched his attack when he reached the security line. >> he is wield ago machete this long and spraying folks to disable them with wasp spray in the face. >> this guy come running with a machete over his head swinging it through security, and then he hops the bench and comes towards my wife and i and i start swinging my suitcase at him and he runs the other way right into a tsa agent. >> white begins chasing tsa agent carol richel who ran towards sheriffs officer heather slyve, slyve shot white three times. >> i have to say slyve is my

hero, saved my life,. >> the tsa agent was grazed by a bullet but other than the alleged attacker no one was seriously injured. white, a jehovah's witness refused medical treatment at the hospital and later died of his injuries. in a bag near white officer found six molotov cocktails, his car was later found to contain smoke bombs and takes of acetylene, freon and oxygen. >> officers have not been able to determine what white was planning, his family said he had a history of mental issues, they are cooperating with the investigation. >> tsa agents at security checkpoints generally aren't armed. there are some calls now though, to change that but vinita, it would require background checks as well as weapons training. >> nair: a frightening story for all a of us. don, thank you. texas senator ted cruz is set to announce he is running for president, cbs news confirmed he will declare it tomorrow at liberty university in virginia cruz a conservative republican

will be the first gop candidate to officially enter the race. in new york city today there was an outpouring of grief for seven children, all siblings who were killed in a fire early yesterday. jericka duncan is in brooklyn for the latest. >> this tight-knit orthodox jewish community aggrieved together as a family for the family they lost. the children ranged in age from five to 16. the only survivors are the victims' mother and their 15-year-old sister who are in critical condition after jumping from this second floor window. >> assemblyman doug hike ken says the father who was away at a religious conference when the fire happened gave a 20 minute tribute to his children. >> he talked about hugging your children and loving your children and treating people right. he has got seven caskets right in front of his face, and he is telling us love your children. >> investigators say the deadly fire started when a hot plate

left on overnight malfunctioned in the first floor kitchen. the flames quickly spread to the upstairs bedroom where the children slept. neighbor andrew rose what says he called 911. >> i was up in the back room upstairs .. on the computer and i hear a screaming from a child mommy, mommy help me. >> the children's mother reportedly stumbled through the spoke to the steps of her cousin's home across the street, and tried to scream save my children. killed in the fire were illya any, heresies ripka and sarah and brothers david, isaiah, yeshua, flowers were were center to the home that is as empty as the home of the family that used to live here. >> and the bodies of those seven children will be transported to israel, where they will be buried vinita authorities say there were no working smoke alarms on the first and second floor of that home, today the

>> nair: lawyers for eccentric millionaire robert durst will try to get him released from a new orleans jail tomorrow arguing he has been unlawfully imprisoned. durst awaits a trial in california for the murder of a friend, which he seemingly confessed to in a documentary. but as omar villafranca reports the prosecution's case may not be a slam drunk. >> in the hbo documentary "the jinx" robert durst appeared to make a stunning admission. >> what the hell did i do? killed them all, of course. >> durst beat a murder case in texas, he is now charged in the shooting death of former friend susan berman in los angeles retired fbi agent steve moore says he heard a confession. >> the video evidence is extremely strong and it doesn't matter if the defense attorney can get it thrown out or discounted, what matters is the jury heard it and they are not

idiots. >> not so fast says defense attorney thomas mesereau. >> i said wait a minute that doesn't sound like a confession to me. that sounds like she being sarcastic. >> mesereau represented robert blake in a murder case and michael jackson in his child molestation trial. both had made incriminating statements on television. both were found not guilty. mesereau says videotape could back durst on the prosecutors too. >> that would allow the defense to argue if you going to bring in select statements we should be able to bring in other statements where he exonerates himself. >> reporter: and durst says several times in the documentary that he did nothing wrong. >> i had nothing to do with susan berman's death. >> reporter: another key piece of evidence against durst this envelope alerting police to berman's murder matches a previous letter durst sent to berman, both misspelling 0 hollywood. >> the problem is that lapd investigators initially linked the, linked the writing to someone else.

here is lauren lyster. >> every afternoon anna williams use as pen to complete her homework. >> before going downstairs to the basement to make one herself. >> at 14 years old anna is in her fifth year of business as a pen maker and sold more than 200 hand made pens in the last year. at around 50 to $750 each, that amounts to nearly ten grand. this year has definitely been my busiest year, my best year yet. >> she uses historical wood for the pen like this beam from the erie canal and wood from trees on the estates of george washington and thomas jefferson. >> i really enjoy being able to take a piece of history and kind of give ate new life. >> anna got the idea at eight years old when her dad michael showed her a web video of a teen making pens. >> for inspiration. >> for me it was one of those things as a father to say look at what kids can do at really any age. >> anna took it literally. >> eventually anna's dad
