rolling stone and urdly both issued apologies on sunday. despite the findings they have no plans to fire or suspend anyone for this story. anne-marie? >> brian webb at columbia university. closing arguments are set for this morning in the boston marathon bombing trial. the jury will then decide dzhokhar tsarnaev's fate on dozens of counts related to the 2013 attack. kris van cleave shows us the 16-day trial emotional testimony and powerful images. >> from the beginning the trial of accused marathon bomber dzhokhar tsarnaev has been less about guilt than life or deft of the defendant. during opening argument they acknowledged he did it. judy clark has kept many bombers from execution. her strategies is that he fell under the influence of his radicalized older brother

tamerlan. much of it was caught on video. graphic video for the jury as witness after witness described the events of 2013. the jury was shown the timeline of the brothers' activities. they arrive with back packs, enter the crowd, the bombs explode and the brothers leave without the back packs. 92 witnesses testify tying the defendant to the blast and violence that follows. >> reporter: survivor stephanie gregg lost a leg. she found strength. >> that moment was very liberating for me. i was looking at the person that tried to destroy me right in the face and showing them they didn't destroy me. >> reporter: the jurors will first decide the 30 charges. if tsarnaev is found guilty the penalty phase begins. all jurors said they would consider the death penalty. this morning president obama

is taking on skeptics of his preliminary deal to roll back iran's nigh clear program. he calls the framework a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity but he faces a tough job selling it to critics in congress some allies, and the american people. and it's not clear the u.s. and iran agree on the details. susan mcginnis is in washington. susan, good morning. >> anne-marie, good morning. this is still a framework between now and july comes the tough part negotiators hammering out all the technical details. the president will use that time to defend the agreement while congress fights for a larger roll. >> this is our best bet by far to make sure they don't get a weapon. >> president obama continues to fight back to critics opposed with a nuclear framework agreement with iran. the president told "the new york times" the u.s. would stand by israel if it were attacked. >> if anybody misses with israel, america will be there. >> the president has been at odds with israeli prime minister

benjamin netanyahu over the agreement which would reduce the amount of working centrifuges of 6,000 to 19. in return sanctions against iran will be eased. >> iran will have billyions of dollars flown to its coffers nor for schools or offices but to pump up its terror machine. the white house is working behind the scenes to sell the deal here on capitol hill where many lawmakers want congress to have larger say. >> the f the president feels this is something good to the nation surely he can sell it to the united states senate and house. president obama says he would veto any such billys but has signals he's hoping to find a way in congress to weigh in. pope francis said during easter mass he believes a nuclear deal

well, tonight wisconsin and duke will decide the national championship of men's basketball. early sunday wisconsin fans celebrated their upset win over previously unbeaten kentucky. the badgers faced the blue devils who advanced with an easy win saturday over michigan state. anna werner reports on wisconsin's hopes of winning its first title since 1941. >> reporter: heading into saturday's game wisconsin coach beau ryan told his players this is was a prize fight. his team came out swinging and with two minutes left on the score tied at 60-60 delivered a knockout punch, a three-pointer from senior sam dekker and a permanent lead. >> off my hand i knew it was down. was waiting for a good look like that all night.
