all of this happened on the same day trump continued to trade barbs with personalities at fox news channel. >> sit down. sit down. sit down. >> reporter: the temperature turned up on donald trump's simmering feud with univision. jorge ramos was escorted out while peppering the gop front-runner on his immigration policy. >> i have a right as a u.s. citizen, as a journalist to ask a question. >> reporter: when allowed back in, he continued his line of questioning, mainly on trump's proposal to end birth rite citizenship and build a wall. >> how are you going to build a 1,900-mile wall? >> i'm going to build it. i build building -- can i tell you what's more complicated? what's more complicated is building a building that's 5 stories tall. >> reporter: trump has made it the centerpiece of his campaign but some say trump's policy

proposals are unrealistic. >> it's a great sound bite, but it's not in terms of a practical policy. >> reporter: but trump was in no mood for punches. the billionaire doubled down. when fox news chief robert ales calls the comments disturbing and said the apology was in order, trump said this. >> she's a very small element in my life, megyn kelly. i don't care about megyn kelly. no, i won't apologize. she should apologize to me, but i just don't care. >> reporter: he has seen his poll points steadily decline and his gop points may soon have no choice but to go on the attack. >> it's the old schoolyard school strategy that, you know, if you stand up to the bully, he'll likely pick on somebody else. if you don't, he tends to run the table on you. >> ramos and univision don't want to stand up to trump. they want to sit down. the network's chief responded to

the prosecutor said minuted before the attack ayoub el khazzani watched a jihadi video on his cell phone. he had 200 rounds of ammunition, a pistol, box cutter, and a bottle of gasoline. he said he's not a terrorist and found the weapons in the park and planned to rob passengers. now to wall street where jittery investors are standing by for more turmoil. they watched an early rally wiped out tuesday by an early morning selloff. this morning u.s. talk futures are slightly higher. stocks in asia are mixed the morning following yesterday's interest cut in china. china's shanghai composite index closed down 1.3%, but japan's nikkei stock rose over 3%. jill wagner's at the new york stock exchange. jill, good morning. >> good morning, anne-marie. traders here don't know what to

expect. the markets appeared to be on a rebound after an abrupt late-day selloff. yesterday's reversal was stunning. yesterday the dow was up by over 441 points but in the last hour of trading the dow plunged 641 points. the biggest one-day reversal since october 2008. the dow finished the day down nearly 205 points closing at an 18-month low. that's the longest moving stretch in more than three years. the s&p fell 25 points and the nasdaq lost 19. wall street's victim and part of anxiety is that the chinese slow down will spark an economic slow down, but the market hasn't had a correction in four years. the advice from long-term investors is stay where you are and ride out the storm. >> i would definitely stay in the market. don't panic. don't sell, whatever you do. >> the latest figures show a boost in new home sales in the

country and improving consumer confidence. anne-marie? >> jill wagner at the new york stock exchange. thanks a lot, ju. the new ambassador's e-mail may have been sensety. some of kennedy's e-mails contained sense active but unclassified information according to the state department. senior staff at the embassy also used private e-mails for business. the state department said there is no indication that kennedy violated department policy. the finds comes as the department looks into e-mails that were sent and received on a private server by former secretary of state hillary clinton. and a west virginia high school teacher is being credited with helping to diffuse a classroom hostage stand off. authorities say a 14-year-old boy held the teacher and 29 students hostage tuesday afternoon in the town of fill leepy. he released the hostages, taken

a broken elevator led to tense moments last night inside the washington mon edmonton. it forced visitors to walk down 897 steps. first responders helped carry a pregnant woman to safety using special equipment. no injuries were reported and the cause of the outage is under investigation. a man arrested for jumping a wall at the white house this spring is dead after a confrontation at a pennsylvania courthouse. authorities say 34-year-old curtis smith slashed a deputy with a knife tuesday. another deputy at the chester county courthouse shot smith. smith was arrested at the white house in march. he told an officer he was trying to pass a message to president obama. it's been a year since an instructor at an arizona gun range was accidentally killed by a 9-year-old girl firing a machine gun.

now that instructor's children have launched a national effort to convince lawmakers to set an age limit for the use of automatic weapons. here's don dahler. >> reporter: army veteran charles vacca was standing next to a 9-year-old girl when she pulled an uzi's trigger. the machine gun bucked up and hit him in the head. the 39-year-old father died that evening. his children still struggle the loss of their father. >> he liked to do a lot of things we liked to do. we would watch movies and play games with him. >> reporter: 16-year-old kelly. >> how long did it take to come to grips? >> i don't think it has. today's the one-year anniversary and it's all come back. >> reporter: shortly after the accident the vacca children taped a message for the little girl.

>> you're only 9 years old. we think about you. we're worried about you. we pray for you. >> reporter: the family launched a national petition urging states to set an age limit for use of automatic weapons. >> laws say children can't drink, can't drive, can't vote, but you can use automatic weapons. >> reporter: attorney mark lambert. >> if you look at regulations, they don't have any type of regulation whatsoever. >> after the accident would you say you're anti-gun? >> definitely not. i'm not anti-gun. i sometimes go to the range with my friend and her dad. >> but you know some people in the country believe any regulation of arms is dangerous. >> you can own a firearm, honestly that's completely fine. but there's no reason for an 8 or 9-year-old to be shooting an automatic weapon. ? in response the national shooting sports foundation said that's for the parents to decide, not the government. the gun range where vacca was killed still allows children to fire machine guns if the
