spread. good evening i'm juliet goodrich. >> the fire is 130 miles southeast of carmel. 10 homes destroyed since the fire started. a body was found among the ashes. nobody knows how that person died and there are evacuations in place. today, they escorted residents back to check in on their properties. they are not allowed to stay. fires, 10% contained at this hour. new figures tonight from the valley fire in lake county. more homes were destroyed than previously thought. cal fire says 888 single family dwellings were lost and the number could rise. the fire has burned 75,000 acres and it is 53% contained tonight. state 29 and all roads east of

here for the valley fire. there is a fire relief fund. and the lives were long, too. now, they are just doing their part. >> it was a joint effort between my father and i, they owned the store and we saw the footage on the news and we wanted to do something to help them. we figure today is a good way to help, help them get back on their feet. they raised $2,000 today. >> we have good news for people effected by the butte fire. cal fire says services including electricity, water and sewer may not be restored for another week. the fire is 70% contained and it burned 71,000 acres.
