you have -- i don't care how you cut it, it's not a good football team. at home, that defense plays great. they still have a great leinbach, a pretty good secretary, a decent -- secondary, a decent defensive line. they don't have coaching staff to tailor around quarterback strengths. they have an offense of the wind that's terrible. running game is terrible. there punter is as inconsistent as they come. one of their best punters went over a couple hundred thousand dollars. andy lee was one of the best and now they have inconsistency. there kicking game is not where it needs to be. they have some issues to address but they certainly have stuff to build upon. >> 49ers among the worst in the nfl. if you are looking on the upset, they are going to be in a good position for draft selection and a 4-10 record.

they are at detroit next week and will finish at home against the rams. the question for the next one is is the current management structure in place now, do you think the best fit to enter that draft? >> if you look at the short term, you have to say no. they left some glaring needs on that team. some of the people quick dish quit late and walked away late but you have to have a plan. you have to have backups in the system. when you walk in with those two starters, you're not doing your job as a gm or a front office to put the best players on the field. >> you know a lot of people in the nfl. do you believe the 49ers have made up their minds for trent baalke and --? >> i don't think they have. i think they are still evaluating. i don't think they have made up their decision. i am not sure jed york is going to run it this next year.

that's. 17-13, raiders still very much alive. on 6 yard touchdown pass, raiders take their first lead of the game at 20-17 but very short-lived. three plays later, rogers finds the james jones before a 30 yard touchdown. green bay retakes the lead at 24-20. next backer drive, 92 yards in over eight minutes but oakland holds on third and field goal, 27-20. 25 yard run down to the eight, green bay got another field goal upping their lead by 10 points. with two minutes left, derek carr would get it to marcel reece but he is tackle short and the packers win 34-20. they are eliminated from postseason contention. here from the head coach at a podium. -- at the podium. >> didn't really talk about the

>> they still had a chance even after that. it just came down to the 4th quarter again. it's like this team shot the gun and were out late in the game in the packers slowed it down and started third downs and beat them way in the game. even after those touchdowns, even after being behind 14-0, they were leading this. >> in the last segment, you talked about how the 49ers have good players and it could be turned around but that certainly seems to be the case. they have had a strong draft this year -- last year and this year is looking fruitful. if i am a raider fan, i am looking for the sky as the limit. this looks like a team that could get to postseason next year. >> without a doubt. you have to have a good quarterback to win. if you're quarterback don't play, you don't win. today, he completed less than

50% passes and threw two passes. that is a big part of the reason the raiders lost today. he made some nice those, did some stuff but when he plays well, this team does well. when he isn't, this team struggles. he had a meltdown and they lost a game a couple weeks ago. with a young quarterback, you will have growing pains. that i would take this kid any day. he gets in there, slings the thing. he is still young. his supporting cast is young and you will get better. if he has another off-season with the receivers, you have a really good receiving corps i would like to see them add another running back and offense of line. >> the issues on defense the raiders may have to shore up but the defense is looking better and better. we will come back with more reactions.
